In the Cashier Click on VIP Store (bottom left hand corner)

Then click on Online Tickets in the left hand panel

Hi everyone,

Looking to make a deposit on PokerStars - the Cardschat bonus code CCPS has expired and I'm looking for another. Not a first time depositer so all those don't apply - anyone know of a good code I could use?

PokerStars has changed the Chrome Freeroll payout structure making it much more difficult to reach the money. WHY?

It seems that Stars is moving in the wrong direction.

You should give the players more chance to win even if it is less. That way it is more fun. But Noooooooooo; not with Stars lately.

I don't even know if the Rep reads this thread anymore. :(

The world of on-line Poker is having a mid-life crisis.

Seems like that.
Full Tilt and Pokerstars have the same e-mail support network.
Got an email from tilt, signed off by a pokerstars header.

Should of kept it. looked pretty funny.

How/can you turn off email notifications specifically for SnG and Spin n Go results?

You may deactivate the congratulatory emails from the PokerStars lobby by unchecking:

'Settings' -> 'Gameplay' -> 'Advanced' -> 'Receive Congratulatory Emails'

Currently grinding at 2NL ... and I can't see any difference being goldstar and being silverstar... seriously. help me see the benfits? If you mention the word tournaments i'm going to throw something. Cash players shouldn't be forced to play tournaments to benfit.

A GoldStar is earning StarsCoin at a faster pace than a SilverStar, that's the main benefit.

Hi, as a regular user of PokerStars I really miss some benfits for poker players whom use the sports betting section. Either in form of freerolls or stars coins.

Cheers

Currently you don't earn StarsCoin for placing sports bets. As others have mentioned, BetStars is running a lot of promotions which include free bets.

^^^^^ Until you notice the stars rep hasn't been online in almost 5 months, unfortunately.

Apologies for that. With the changes to the VIP program it's been a busier time than usual for the VIP Team, and other areas have taken higher priority. For most questions, your best option is to contact Support for a timely answer.

You can use your StarsCoin to buy tournament/sit & go/spin & go tickets in the 'Online Tickets' category of the VIP Store

The ChromeStar Weekly Freeroll is increased to $10K this year and the payout structure pays out 18% of the field versus 14% last year. Am I misunderstanding something?

Dylan

Hi Dylan, ty for being back in this thread.

The last ChromeStar Weekly (10K on Feb 6 2016) paid about 10% of the field. There were more than 20K players and only about 2K players got paid.

I hope this is a mistake that will be corrected and not a permanent decision from management.

Winning, even a small amount, gives me the incentive to play more.

By the way PokerStars' Giveaway freerolls have an insane payout structure. It should be changed and mimic the old 100K Privilege Freerolls (paid 18% of the field I think). All the players that were playing the 100K Privilege Freerolls are disappointed in the new Giveaway Freerolls.

Make a survey here on CardsChat or on 2 + 2 and you will see that people would prefer the old Privilege Freerolls to these disaster Giveaway Freerolls.

Hi Gorak,

Sorry, you're right that it didn't pay out 18% and my answer above was unclear. Some clarification:

The structure pays out 18% if there are approx. 10,000 entrants or less. When there are more, there is a mechanism which interrupts paying out more players so that the minimum payout is a meaningful amount. In the case of the ChromeStar $10K, that amount is $1.10. If we were to pay out 18% of the field, the min-cash would be something like 5 cents.

It was decided that we would rather give players a meaningful amount versus paying out more players minuscule amounts. However, I have passed on your feedback as it's not something set in stone and I do see your point of view.

Thanks,
Dylan

Glad to see your back dylan, thanks.

I guess since you are here and the topic of the chromestar freeroll was brought up. Why the time change? It went from 3:30pm to now 11am ET, i guess the 11am ET works better for the uk timezones but doesn't seem like its getting more players because of it since it used to get 21k+ on the old time anyhow.

Just curious on the change, as I always enjoyed the challenge of the huge field and potential of the big score up top (for a freeroll) but now I will rarily if ever be able to make them unfortunately.

Cheers

Hi Muzyka,

Please contact [email protected]. They will be able to give a much more accurate and fast answer than me as they will know which location you're from which may affect your minimum withdrawal amount.

We chose more EU-friendly timezone given the shift in our player-base towards those regions.

If we see a consistent dip in entrants we can consider changing it back, but I'd like to give it more time before drawing any conclusions as it was the first one of the year and a new time for everyone to adjust to.

Thanks,
Dylan

This interrupt mechanism was introduced just last week for the Chromestar $10K. The payout the week before was 18% and it paid about 3600 spots. I think the minimum payout was between $0.35 and $0.55 (enough to play a Sit N Go); not 5 cents; do your homework!

I knew it was a management decision :( :( :( . PokerStars is moving in the wrong way lately. You say you want more recreational players; then make the payout structures more fun to play. There is a huge difference between an 18% and 10% payout structure. If all your tourneys were to have a 10% payout structure; I'd quit playing on PokerStars. On the other hand if all of your tourneys were paying 18% of the field I'd play way more on PokerStars.

If you have any access to Daniel Negreanu; ask him if he likes soft payout structures (i.e. paying more spots) or hard payout structures (i.e. paying less spots).

The change to these freerolls isn't meant to punish recreational players and we aren't adopting a position that is against flat/soft payout structures. I am only referring to freeroll examples where the minimum-payout is a very small amount.

For reference, the January 23 ChromeStar freeroll two weeks ago had 24,936 entrants and paid out 5,401 and the minimum payout was $0.33. So you're right, it's not 5 cents. I will do my homework next time :).

I've passed along your feedback to the tournaments team who structure these tournaments, and if many players share your opinion, it's not out of the question that the decision can be re-considered at some point in the future.

Thanks,
Dylan

$0.33 still counts for a micro stake player. Besides making the money is not the end of the tourney; we can ladder up you know… :D

Yes, I too am not happy with room policy! But it is good to play there! I think it is necessary not to pay simply attention to the head's inaction: Joyman: )))

I've never been on when one was dealt, but I think slowing down the deal for any of the winning tables would be fun, make it more dramatic.

On another line, has it ever been considered to make it optional to see all bets and stack sizes in terms of blind sizes rather than dollars or tournament dollars? It could even go fractional, but if I could have that then I'd be less confused the few times that I multitable different buyin cash tables, and I'd really like it for tournaments.

The danger would be accidentally sitting down at a $5/$10 table instead of a $10 table and not noticing ...

I'm very interested in this FTP merge with Stars as well - makes sense overall but the implications can be intriguing.

Dylan, on another note, I have a few thoughts on Stars in general that might make the playing experience more enjoyable.

Starters - I enjoy the mobile version for money on my ipad. Disappointed though that only Hold'Em is available on the iPad. I also noticed that Home Games, such as the Cardschat World Cup can't be accessed on the iPad. Any plans to change that in the future?

Second, the lack of re-load bonuses is disappointing. We all know about the first 100% up to $600, but what's the incentive to re-load in between these promotions? Could you look at a monthly re-load freeroll based on your VIP level? That might encourage deposits.

Third, any thought to regional ring games or SnG's? Like having tables available for Canada or Europe, situations like that? This way, if I felt like a game with only Canucks, we could join and meet at a table?

Just a few thoughts. Thanks for listening!
