Had made a few moves against him previously so didn't feel like triple would work out too well. With completely unchanged board texture I feel like the only hand I'm ever getting called with OTF that will fold to a double is JJ. 2P+ jams turn and his Ax is never folding to two barrels and I don't feel like betting three streets when I miss considering meta factors. In hindsight I think X/J turn is good as we can bomb river if he checks back and we hit + we extract vs his floats and maximise fold equity. Agree?

X/j is very polarised. Ax and AT would bet the turn so we're pretty much just sets and even they usually bet the turn to avoid check backs and to get proper value from worse. Shoving just looks very drawy to a competent player. I like your line, although I prob bet more on the turn.

Math

(i'm in class so this is very brief)

but anyways, were beat (obviously), but we can draw to the clean nuts every time. An A or 9 can't fill him up, so we don't have to worry about that. Therefore, do the math.

Putting in 1.69$ to win (2.60+2.60+1.45 = 6.65$) is roughly 4/1. That alone would just about be enough to make the call profitable, however since we have (10-2.60-.40-.30 = 6.70) 6.70$ left behind, our implied odds are obviously improved in this situation as well. You can't really say "putting in 1.69$ to win 6.65 (current pot) + remaining 6.70$, since implied odds are obviously just that...implied, but in this situation, I think it's fair to assess that after villain c/c flop, c/r turn that he's incredibly strong here (think beluga theorem). Therefore, I doubt he even slows down on an A or 9 river, meaning we probably GII on good rivers.

tl;dr: Flat the raise and GII on good rivers.

He's obviously strong, 2 pair minimum, that's in no doubt. We have to call $1.70 to win an effective $11 if we stack every time we hit. We hit 17% of the time and that will be to the nuts ofc. If he has a set we stack every time and QJ most of the time but I think his range is mostly sets. So for me calling is marginal, profitability probably comes down to rake %.

It's probably just a call. I think he gets it in often enough to be profitable.

We need 13% to be good before rake and assuming he gets it in every time. So 17% is probably enough to do that.

I see one problem with my line though. The only hands of his that stack on the rivers where we hit are 2P+ and seeing as all of them excepting those that also hit the river (AQ on Qc for example) are jamming turn then I struggle to think we gain any value when we hit. What I'm saying is that I don't even know if he has a triple barrel calling range here but I'm positive he isn't folding to the double. So yeah uh, how do we turn this scenario into profit?

As for the KTs hand, I was just confused cause I didn't think some of his range would call should we hit the A (QJ to be specific). Anyway I called and river went X/X. He had T9 and I won! Yay!

Chucked some money on 888 but I can't seem to get the HUD working. Are they no longer allowing HUDs or something cause PT4 is importing the hands fine?

Edit: this is weird. It's importing snap hands but not showing HUD. And. it's blatantly refusing to import hands from regular tables. Dafuq?

For me too , 888 doesnt want players to use HUD in SNAP (at least thats what i read). For me PT4 saved 3 hands out of like 500 at regular cash tables. HUD works in Fixed limit holdem.

HUDs don't work on snap tables.

When I started playing on 888 I had to reinstall the client like 5 times because the client wouldn't write hh's properly which prevented Pt4 from importing them properly(obvs).

You must be experiencing the same thing. I don't even know how it ended up working eventually but it did lol. Just delete it completely off your computer and try to reinstall.

Support is no help either lol

I could see this being AQ or a 50/50 with JJ/QQ. I can call and look to outplay post-flop.

Gii if you're okay with a coinflip.

Hello there all!

My names Dean, im 26yo and live in England and im in search for an active study group to join. I'm a 2-5NL cash player on stars and I'm starting to take poker more seriously recently. I don't have a massive sample size (about 50k hands in total), but i feeling i am getting better slowly but as like most people are, am looking to get better!. Reading books, watching online tutorials and trying to track my leaks are a good source of learning, though i want to take a step further and find a good active study group that interact a lot about hand discussion, concepts and other poker related stuff. Also to find some poker buddies to have a laugh with along the way would be a bonus.
If anyone has a study group that sounds right for me, then either PM me or add me on my skype (Dean.Ruffell).
Thanks in advance for any replies!
