No I don't think so 5nl and 10nl pretty similar in my experience, it's 16/25nl when it starts to get tougher

Don't adjust. Just play your game. Any adjustments that you end up needing will emerge. I think most people moving up over-adjust. Better to adjust slowly than over-adjust and lose because of it. And nothing you're used to doing at 5nl will get you brutalized at 10nl.

I would make your flop raise bigger in both cases, like 20c or so, that way would've been easier to build bigger pot in hand 2.

Hand 1 - Kind of seems like shoving will mean that only TPTK+ will call, flatting his 26c raise might be better then let him bet again OTT + OTR.

Hand 2 - 3bet pre for value vs the fish might be nice

H1 - agree with you, i think was a misstake there.

H2 - i think on that but don´t like to 3b AQo vs a agro fish OOP, vs a passive fish or a tight player or with a hand that hit better yes, but aggro fishes gona call the 3b and then call our cbets making us spew more the 66% times we don´t hit no?

Agree on raise more on flop on both, but this mean that we gona pay a lot more to flat on hand1 after he raise us, still ok?

You're basically min check-raising in both hands. Why? You're leaving a ton of value on the table when you do that.

In hand 1 as played I'd probably flat the min-3bet as it just looks so nuttish. Not folding, mind you, but doubt he ever does that with worse than QJ, and more likely KQ+, two pair, sets.

Hand 2 seems okay except again with the tiny check-raise. Just go bigger - his range isn't nearly as elastic as you might think, assuming he's a fish.

3bet pre-flop both hands, you will have villain crushed most of the time. Post-flop stop min-raising, either call then lead out or call down. Check-Raising one pair is over-playing it imo.

^^ Any stats on villain? Depends what his VPIP/PFR is, what his 3b range is and how aggressive he is.

If 3bet is 1% its a fold OTT as he is likely to have AA or KK and you're drawing dead.

If 3bet is a more normal 4-5% then we can give him a range of AA, KK, AK here imo when he bets the turn. So he has 3 possible combos of AA, 6 possible combos of KK and 12 possible combos of AK so you're drawing dead just over 1/3 of the time. This and the fact that you probs have ~11 outs (spades and the Aces) so ~22% of making your hand still makes the turn a fold imo.

As played the river is a close one: 9 combos beat you and you beat 12, so shoving is prob slightly more +EV than calling

Hand 1 is a fold OTR imo and hand 2 is probably a fold OTT but certainly OTR, villain is so passive that he has something big here most of the time.

Really annoying hand lol.

SB is 19/15, 10%3b, 100 hands
CO is 33/15, 10%3b, 150hands

I 4bet big to try and at least get rid of one of them pre, maybe should've gone bigger? Or just shoved? Post flop maybe my cbet was too big and didn't allow me to bet/fold, not sure bet/folding is good/possible anyway considering pot and stack sizes, maybe there's no way of getting away from it.

Thoughts?

Ugh - brutal.

Obviously I'm no expert but I think you played the hand well and there wasn't much you could do. I like your 4-bet size as it's good to get the fish to call with worse hands.

Because of the SB's cold calls, I would have put him on a medium PP or AK. He could also have had JJ or QQ too though. His check raise on the flop would make me think he was on a flush draw or had hit his set. I night have bet bigger on the flop (intending to get stacks in as quickly as possible because there was a possible flush) but as played I don't think you could have got away from it.

Wishing you lots of rungood! :)

Yeah unfortunately SB gets OK odds to setmine by calling the 4b, and theres no way I cant cbet the flop either. Hmmmm maybe should've done like $2.50 4b or just shoved.

GL to you too !

Theres no way we get away from that on the flop with the size of that pot, so b/f is almost never an option. An ace high board sucks for us, but anything else and we just wanna get the money in, as played though its pretty certain that if either villain has AA the money gets AI pre at some point.

I would prob bet smaller though, like half pot, it might induce some stupid shit and it might get FD's to call, which we arent bothered about anyways b/c w/e comes on the turn we would still be getting it in. Just a cooler for sure.

Hand 1: I think a smaller river bet such as $2 would have been better.
Hand 2: I am trying to disipline myself when it comes to folding and paying off passive fish, so I decided that he he wasn't going to be doing this often enough with worse flush hands.

H1 are you b/f'ing that river? I think you should be and I would bet less because of that, but thats minor as it would only be like $2-$2.50

Fold or squeeze pre with H2, as played I guess its fine though, could maybe fold the turn i guess.

If I squeezed, the pre-flop raiser would only call with a better hand and the fish would have probably called anyway. To squeeze I thought the loose person had to be the one to open and then another person calls with a lighter hand range. However this guy was a tight player who opened.

Also folding the turn to that bet?? I could very well be ahead here, and even if I aren't I have two tens/aces/possible flush draw to catch...

You havent given us CO stats, but if he opens fairly wide then I prefer a 3bet than flatting MW oop, ATo isnt good enough to flat imo. Just wrote this and noticed the SB was short, just fold pre. :)

Re: the turn bet, it just looks like we're going into station mode because we have top pair, I dont think we're good and it doesnt look like he's gonna check the river so calling 66c isnt all we're gonna have to call to get to SD.

Co was a tight player. Also I called because of the odds I was getting. The turn, like I said we can catch so many cards on the river, Aces/10's/flushes that can help our hand, if a flush card comes and he checks then we probably have the best hand. Also these guys take weird lines all the time at microstakes I still think folding turn is a mistake.

Sick 12 tabling session +10 buy-ins :D

Gonna start playing some 10nl again, and drop back to 5nl if bankroll drops below $250. Knowing I have 50 buy-ins for 5nl locked and thinking of 10nl as a shot-take and accepting that it may fail should help avoid tilt.

On course to make Goldstar again too...nice that it's a bit easier @ 2.5K VPP now
