I know you have no info but his 3bet range might be a lot wider than you think because he is in position. I've opened up my IP 3betting range a lot recently and it's working out nicely...everyone knows calling 3bets OOP sucks so they can only really continue with premiums.

Problem is I don't think I can outplay him postflop. If I'm not folding I don't think getting it in is best, so flat and keep in the weak parts of his range?


I understand about 3-betting light IP, and I do it too. However I wouldn't do it against the range that is most likely to play back at me.


So flatting is correct then?

no just 4 bet, it's 5nl against an unknown, 30 hands isn't enough. Why can't A/K, Jacks or tens 3 bet here? I would sometimes, even with A/Q.

AK can 3-bet. What value can JJ/TT get out of my strongest range? I'm only playing back with stronger. Easier for him to flat and play a pot IP.

tbh playing loose IS fine, but don't go insane. If it's like most home games you should be able to almost guarantee profit as long as you don't run shitty.

Random question ....its 5nl and we are on the btn with AQo...it gets folded round to us, we look at the bb's stats and he's a nit, say 6/3 over 30 hands...so that rules out 3bet%/fold to 4bet stats etc...he has 100 bigs....what do we do here, fold and believe he has AA-KK...but why would he 3bet that right, surely he would just call my raise.....so yeah, do we come over the top with a 4bet or fold and wait until we have a bigger hand sample on the guy?......
