The commercial gaming industry reached a new all-time revenue high in 2025. Hard to believe? Not likely, in my opinion. There are many revenue drivers in casinos, and with the emergence of Prediction Markets, it's not difficult to see how revenue records are broken year over year.

Yesterday, the AGA (American Gaming Association) published its latest report for 2025, stating that the US commercial gaming industry generated revenue of $78.61 billion, which was $6.5 billion over the previous year.

I personally found this information interesting.

I've seen videos of people showing how Las Vegas has been consistently empty lately.

And they say it's because of the prices, both for hotels and casino bars.

Is that why they're no longer concerned about lowering prices, since they're making so much money?

Interesting, those Casinos seem to make quite a bit of money and it's not a surprise in given how many people frequent those places...

Year after year, the gambling industry shows growth despite the rather difficult times. I think it is clear that in the future of 10-20 years, we will only see a growing trend, especially considering the transformation of this industry into a high-tech and digitalized entertainment ecosystem.

My casino makes millions monthly and dumped its poker room to make room for more money-making slot machines.
It's a license to print money, but they couldn't print it as fast as they could, and do make it legally.

nowadays the casinos take the public's money every way they can ( ridiculous hotel 'resort fees ' on top of the regular room charge , pay for parking at many places ,tight slot machines , new games that take even more percentage wise , expensive buffets ,poor comp offers , etc etc ). i don't know what's included in the 'total revenue ', but i am surprised the industry is doing that well . the days of a good deal are long gone , at least in las vegas !

It seems there are more whales coming to the casino, so even though foot traffic is down, there are more bigger spenders that are gambling

You are right. Human greed is the basis for the development and prosperity of gambling. I think the prospects in this industry are better than they seem at first glance.

And I believe the trend is only for growth.
The integration with prediction markets is attracting a whole new audience that previously didn't look at the traditional gaming market.
This record doesn't surprise me at all; the sector has adapted very well.

And in the end, the house always wins, right?? haha
