casinos r kinda sad bro. Look all cool n shiny, ppl laughin n hopin, but truth is almost all lose $$$.

## How casinos work
Games r rigged 4 house. slots, roulette, evn blackjack, all got lil edge 4 casino, so u win sumtimes but mostly u walk out broke lol. Jackpot winners r rare, u only see em, but like 1000+ losers behind em. Casino keep most $$, only givs sum out 2 make u keep playin.

## Tricks casino use
- Free drinks so u don’t think much
- No clocks/windows, so u play 4ever
- Flashy lights, hype up games
- Chips ez 2 get, real cash hard 2 keep

All designed 4 u to lose n stay. Ppl come dreamin rich, go home sad n empty wallet.

## Y few win
Casino ain’t no charity, it biz. Fancy buildin paid by losers. odds r tilted. Smart or not, most lose. Come wit hope, only rare win. Rest pay 4 carpet n soda.

Even workers' smiles r fake, all made for u lose n wanna come again thinkin u win next time.

Most got stories walkin out broke, only casino is always rich.

A walking talking party of one😏.....,

.... blackjack, baccarat and craps have a 1% house edge so you can make a profit there,

the rest of the games I would say are just for fun...., fun is allowed, just don't bet the farm on it 👍

The idea is for it to be a form of entertainment. You should never look at it as a way to make consistent money, in my opinion. Only play with what you can afford to lose, and never, ever chase losses.

Casinos are businesses, not charities. Players who want to make money in casinos should first think about getting a job there 🙂

If you play only to win big , very big money , or even a great life-changing jackpot , then you might get very disappointed and frustrated . Yeah , to beat the house is hard . You need strategy , control over your games , discipline with your bankroll) management , play with money that if you lose it won't hurt much or at all .

I play mostly for fun when I play casino . Of course the winnings are my target , but I try to have fun . Casino games ard entertaining mostly I think , especially if you play at a live casino like you describe , where everything in the casino try to make you play more and more , but also provide the conditions and services to have fun at the same time . I guess rich , millionaires and billionaires have the most fun at a casino , cause they font care much for losses .

The only thing that's pure in Casino's is Poker with 99+BBs and a solid 20/30 minute blinds... Dare I wager you need a buy in of 50 bucks or more for it not to be a shove/donkey fest

Why is going to the Casino and gambling worse than going on expensive travels? It's also losing money, why is this not equally sad? In terms of externalities, gambling is even better (no environmental damage).

I think the sad part could be when you witness the people there who clearly have a gambling problem. I have seen that, and it is really sad. 🙁

I see a lot of seniors at our casinos. The fact that there are rows and rows of handicapped parking spaces, I mean whole handicapped parking lots, suggests that the casinos are specifically catering to them. I'm not sure where the money they're playing with is coming from, but there really doesn't seem to be a shortage.

Well well written. Thanks.

Yes they are really kind of sad bro because most of people who go there will loose their hard-earned money in those casinos. it is what it is, best is to see it as some kind of entertainment.

They opened a casino in Brantford when I lived there. For the first 6 months, I could supplement my income about $200 to $300 a week. Obviously that's how they get you. After that, barely won at all. Stopped going after about a year regularly and would just stop in once in a while to throw $20 bucks out the window.

Let’s say that if you play poker really well, you have a chance of overcoming the rake and making a good profit. But in casino games, in the long term, the house always wins. There’s a reason why they’re still open, even with all the expenses they have to cover

Exactly, They will give you small wins initially giving you the impression that you could win even bigger, if you invest more… and at this rate, they would take everything from us. But kudos to you to make the perfect decision to stop visiting 🫡

You had a nice run of beginner's luck!

Actually, it does not work like that at all. Odds on casino games have nothing to do with individual play. They are the same no matter who is playing, when they started playing or how long they play. 🙂

Yeah Debi, I learned it recently and had posted a thread on Casino Myths that would cover this.
Thread 'Casino Myths Debunked'
https://www.cardschat.com/forum/general-casino-83/casino-myths-debunked-554086/

On the other hand, do you believe in beginners luck, especially on the luck based games at Casino?
