Maybe it’s not really about losing, but rather setting aside a specific amount to play with, if you lose, that’s fine, it was already planned for. But there’s the fun aspect too, right?

I think so. I would suggest playing roulette as a low-risk option. Of course, you need to create your own system of bets, where each subsequent bet covers the loss of the previous one. After that, you can bet on red or black, as well as on even or odd numbers, and on low or high numbers.

There must be people who are net winners in casino games that are minus EV due to very good luck and then not being overly profligate afterwards. I think I remember reading of a couple who won two lottery jackpots both worth over 1 Million quid.

Yes it's possiblem. If you go there many times you will have losing and also winning Sessions. In the long run you're almost guaranteed to lose though.

EV is one of those concepts that really helps separate a good decision from a lucky result. Even when a hand doesn't work out, a positive-EV decision can still be the right play. Do you usually think about EV during your sessions, or mainly review it afterward?

The only way to save money is to not risk it. If you come just to watch others play, I think you probably won't lose anything except your time.
