These days I saw a TV series where they used this technique to always win by betting on black!

1st bet: 100 black - lose
2nd bet: 200 black - lose
3rd bet: 400 black - lose
4th bet: 800 black - lose
5th bet: 1600 black - win 3200
6th bet: 3200 black - lose!

7th bet: 6400 black - win 12800
8th bet: 12800 black - win 25600

Of course, you need a large bankroll for this feat.

The day will come when it all ends. And so will the bankroll. Even if it's more than $100,000, the day will inevitably come, a day that is rarely even shown in films.
I wonder how that day will go for such a player :)
I think it definitely won't be boring.

A definite way of losing your bankroll, simply because the casinos will set a maximum limit and it would be too low for you to recover your loss if you ran into a long losing streak. (Eg. Is your bankroll large enough to handle a 10 or 12 or higher losing streak, which is possible)? No betting system works.

It doesn't take long either. And it is very bad for mental health when it happens.

So I tried that when I was 20 or 21 - I had a small bonus on a sketchy poker site with a casino and played roulette, doubling my bet every time, thinking I could play for a while. Started with a 10 cent bet on like a $10 bankroll and was going fine until I hit 7 red in a row and my bankroll was dusted.

Statistically anomalies happen and when they do ANY roulette strategy becomes high risk to your bankroll.

A good roulette strategy is kinda like a good sitter limping strategy in poker, there is none and it will always be neg EV.

My mate and I did this on the horses when we were not working. Back fav each race must not be odds on and double up if it loses. Had some cracking winning days. Then the enviable happened 😞

haha, classic Martingale, straight out of the movies 😄
It looks unbeatable on paper, but the math is brutal in the long run. You are basically trading many small wins for one catastrophic loss. Even with a huge bankroll, variance doesn’t care. Eventually you hit that ugly streak and boom. Also, casino edge (0 and 00) is always there, silently waiting.....

..... I did this several times when I first started playing roulette. I thought I had found the Holy Grail. In a few days, I increased my bankroll from $10 to $270 using this strategy......
....... But it all ended when I didn't see black 34 times in a row.

I think you don’t really know how roulette works! You bet only on black and then 15 reds come in a row! At first you might win, but over time you lose everything! And you need to know there’s a limit bet, and then you end up losing because you’re trying to win those 100 you started with! I say just have fun and leave the winning part to luck! What I can tell you from experience: don’t repeat the same bet! Change your bet every time…

It's a good strategy, but it depends on the betting limit of the site. I play on a site where the maximum is 5K, so starting to bet from 100 is very risky; I've seen up to 17 consecutive losses. But it is a good strategy.

Maybe you can get away with this for a while, but you must be disciplined and not get greedy!

Yep. I was gonna say this is the Martingale. I lost quite a bit back in the day.

The Martingale system is based on doubling your bet after each loss. The idea is that after a losing streak, you're guaranteed to win, and doubling your bet after a loss will cover all previous losses. The downside is that, if you have a long losing streak, you may be limited to a table, which will make it impossible to continue your strategy.

I think most of us have been through this.
And if you haven't, you have it all ahead of you. Losing your bankroll is not the end of the world. It's not the first and it won't be the last. The main thing is to realise your mistakes and avoid making them in the future.

If you only woulda bet on red coming 7 times in a row. 10 cents woulda flipped 100x to 10$

For such a feat, you don't need a bankroll so much as luck :)

Nice but start with 1 to 128 with lots of time on hand

Of course, in a movie, such a scenario has the right to life. Although in reality, with such a game, you will leave with empty pockets in 99% of cases.

Bet on 0 until it pays then check out unless it's Thursday ;
in that case down a double shot of Tequila and repeat. For a variety on this method next bet on 1 ,, then 2, and so on until you hit on 36 or keel over, whichever comes first.

Sounds like a solid plan… if the goal is to end up in financial therapy by Thursday. I think I’ll let the roulette wheel breathe and save my tequila for happier occasions.
