Live casino has turned into a show. Lights, cameras, scripted lines, rehearsed smiles. But do you still feel the game? Is there still that raw moment when silence falls over the table and every player holds their breath? Or have we become spectators in a plastic set?

I only play online. I don't go to live casinos. Online gaming suits me perfectly. For me, the most important factors are the convenience of withdrawing funds and the availability of accessible withdrawal methods. Everything else is not so important 🙂

I’ve stopped going too. Just like you, I play online now. It’s more accessible, less exhausting, and far more... homely. You can serve whatever’s in your fridge, no need to wait for a dreamy waiter to take your order. No dice rolling on the table anymore, but the click still seals your fate. We’ve migrated to digital comfort, where coffee’s always within reach and no one expects a tip.

Those who have the opportunity to visit go to a real casino 🎰, those who do not have such an opportunity, stare at the monitors and are a little jealous of visitors without feeling the atmosphere of collective excitement.

In my community there is a casino nearby with poker tables and tournaments with free entry.

I think it's fair for the entrance to be free! That’s all we needed — to pay just to get in! I’ve never had that experience, nor have I ever come across it!

You’re right, my friend. Those who step into a real casino feel the thrill, the clinking chips, the hopeful glances. The rest of us stare at screens like stained glass — with a touch of envy and a flood of imagination. But maybe it’s the absence of atmosphere that makes us dream harder. Who knows? Maybe luck favors those who can’t reach it.

I play for fun and to take my mind off things. And regardless of whether it's a live game or an online game, gambling brings me joy and pleasure in any case. And I definitely don't consider myself part of the scenery 🙂

Exactly! People are different — some play with heart, others with mind, some with luck, others with logic. And that’s what makes the game beautiful: everyone brings something unique to the table. It’s good to appreciate each player, not for how they play, but for the fact that they play.

As far as I know, casinos have always been the way they are depending on the resources of the era. Always the newest technology in the works.

Well said 👍👍. And when it comes to poker, that's exactly what makes a good player one who can adapt to different people and situations.

Of course, I feel the game the same way I always have. If the game didn't bring me any emotions, I definitely wouldn't spend money on it. Nothing has changed for me, gambling is still one of my favorite hobbies.

That's right, that's exactly the way things are, and no matter what they say about the absence of a difference, it's just huge. I really want to visit a real casino, but the remoteness of the gaming zones does not allow me to do this yet. However, everything is yet to come)))

The dealer smiles like an actor on break, and the players perform roles scripted by algorithms. We have lost ourselves in plexiglass sets, where emotion is staged and luck has a script! We no longer play we perform...

I guess yes there is still room for real play. People seem to play and casinos are there so yes what else? Don't understand this question honestly.

Your thread title and the first two sentences you've written here ^ sound like you're referring to 'casino games', not poker.

Poker is poker. It's still the same in live settings and still the same game online. The players have changed how they play, and the online sites have changed some of the games on offer.

Really don't get where you're going with this though.

Since I play for fun, I always feel emotions during the game. For me, every aspect of the game is not a routine, it is entertainment that brings me both joy and satisfaction.

Unfortunately, I only play online. I don't have the opportunity to visit a live casino. But for me, gambling is always about positivity, regardless of the outcome. When I play, I am completely focused on my game and my decisions, even when it comes to slots. I try to keep everything under control, and I find that controlled gambling is a wonderful and safe form of entertainment.

Live casinos has always been & will always be about the entertainment & atmosphere. If you are imagining a game where silence falls over the table and every player holds their breath then that's not in a live casino. That may be in a private room or home game or a tournament or a scene in a movie. A live casino must be alive, hustling & bustling. It is about inviting people to gamble their money away.

You’re right, atmosphere and entertainment are essential in a live casino.A lively and bustling casino isn’t just about excitement, but also about creating a space where fun blends with caution.
