I’d love to hear your thoughts: which do you think is better in the long run — high volatility slots or low volatility slots? And which ones do you usually play on 888 or PokerStars?"

In the long run, low volatility slots tend to be “safer” because they pay out smaller wins more consistently, which helps preserve your bankroll. High volatility slots can hit huge jackpots, but they’re riskier and can burn through your balance fast. Personally, I usually stick to medium or low volatility games on 888 or PokerStars—I like some excitement, but I don’t want to chase massive swings too often.

So the high volatility slots are the ones that pay less often ? First time I see this term . Does this categorization has to do only with jackpot kind of slots or also every other slot that pays less often ?

Generally I did like slots that pay less often . I don't like to wait for the big win , and meanwhile to win peanuts , many times less money than the initial bet per spin . I have seen stupid payouts in some slots awarding very little money for the first winning combinations , I feel that I might get cheated there . It's extremely boring . I like the minimum win to be good , sth more than the initial bet , anyway no peanuts

Pokerstars casino has never been available for us so who cares ... As for 888 then no clue what the slots volatility was since i basically picked some certain slots which were suitable to complete some offers or whatever..

I prefer low volatility slots. The whole idea is to get entertainment value. Sitting there for an hour burning through hundreds of dollars waiting for something to happen isn't my idea of entertainment.

In the long run, it's better not to gamble at all. That way, you can save a lot of money. I'm telling you this as a player with 30 years of experience. But if you've decided to have some fun and are thinking about the long-term prospects of these entertainments, then it doesn't matter what you choose. Choose what you like best 🙂

I prefer more volatile slots. Although the risk is greater, if you play according to the basic principles of bankroll management, you have nothing to fear.

I prefer games with medium or low volatility on 888. To play slots with high volatility you need to have a large bankroll)

The longer you play, the more the casino has the advantage.

I rather win or lose quickly. Its much easier to be a net winner on 1 slot pull than 1 million slot pulls.

In the long run, it all depends on your goals. I think you should choose games that are intuitive, interesting, and visually appealing to you. In order to enjoy the game, it obviously shouldn't be boring.

Since I very rarely played, I honestly never had any idea that Slots are different, could be high, low or medium volatility.
So far, I learned so many new things since CC brought in casino.us.

Anyway, according to the above definitions, I think my choice will depend on my intention.

-- If I happen to have a considerable amount of money and could afford to lose a part of it for fun, I'd choose a high volatility machine, that way, I'll enjoy myself and if some win comes along, I'd feel even better.

-- On the other hand, if my budget is kind of tight, I'd play some half an hour on a low volatility machine, hoping to have some fun and only lose small, break even or make a little profit.

I think it all depends on your temperament 🙂
I often choose more volatile slots for myself. Although they are more voracious, such games give you more impressions, more emotions, and more pleasure. I play primarily for entertainment, but of course I try to play so that I get something out of it 🙂

In my opinion, high volatility slots are more promising, and therefore it is probably better to give them preference in the long term. But I think everyone has to make this choice for themselves. Don't listen to advice, listen to your own intuition instead.

The slots I choose are always marked as highly volatile. I have played various slots and never paid attention to this detail. But now I have reviewed the characteristics of my favourite slots and found that they are all highly volatile.

I don't even know what games have low volatility. It seems that all the ones I played had high volatility, or maybe I just didn't notice this indicator.

honestly i stick to low or medium volatility. i don't have the bankroll to sit through 100 dead spins on a super high volatility game just to bust in five minutes. i'd rather get those small consistent wins and actually make my deposit last a bit

Yeah same for me actually. I never check those numbers first when I play Slots I just play what looks attractive and fun to me in the lobby.

I don't prefer none of them, since I will still loose in any of them anyway; the only difference would be for how long they would torture me and my bankroll 🤣

I hate high volatility slots, and always check out game's volatility before playing. Because I don't play that much it probably improves my median return.

I’d probably choose lower-volatility slots because I prefer smaller, more frequent wins over long stretches without a hit. High volatility can be exciting, but the swings are much harder to handle.

Obviously, in the long run you will spend money in both cases. If we talk about how to spend less, then I think it is probably better to play less volatile slots.

I agree with you that online casinos will leave you without money in the long run because everything is controlled by an algorithm and nothing depends on your own decisions. Poker is different—you make the decisions yourself, and your results depend much more on your skill.

I do like non-volatile slots. There are slot games too where you can choose your volatility, I have found these slot games called "Mines", which work kind of like Minesweeper and you can choose how many mines you explode. One mine = small profit but almost no risk, 10 mines = high profit but risk is much higher.

I however assume the RTP is same regardless of volatility you play.
