Besides the money, what makes you play poker?

I just play poker for the fun aspect. It is a bonus when I win, but it the fun is the game itself. I hate it when I lose to crap hands where people go into a hand with shag all.

I play for the fun of it. It is a great way to pass away a few hours. The bonus is when you win ! I hate it when I lose to crap hands where people go in with nothing and end up winning by pure fluke. No skill. No strategy.

I love the challenge of becoming a better player and it's such an exciting game. Definitely an adrenaline rush and very satisfying, when you put the hours in and play well and have some decent luck, winning is just awesome! Makes me happy for days if I win a tourney!

why I play

I am retired from work that always kept me planning, budgeting, managing, etc. Poker has become a new lifestyle for me. In the past I have played for the challenges it brings, but now it's all the above. I am a student of this great game and will most likely continue for the rest of my time. Good question, thank you.

Although there is some truth that poker could fit into a game of chance in my opinion is a game of skills is fun in some other case we ended up annoying to not go with a hand that we liked as in others have been knowing that the ebversario could have the winning hand but it is fun and very competitive:bandit:

Ever Learning

In addition to making a profit, it's a ever growing game for learning although the learning part, I think, is minimized with freerolls. It potentially could dummy you down for real poker action.

I like poker for the way you never know enough to master the game. There is always something new to learn and try at the tables. I like the challenge of being the only one left in Tournaments left with chips. You can learn a lot from other players at the tables or here in Cardschat.

Why I Play? Learning curve. I've done many things that require learning a new skill. Some are quick some take a lifetime. I'm still learning poker so the curve is still on the way up. I like that the best. Once the curve is over I sometimes get a little bored. I don't think I will ever get bored of Chess, Poker or Golf. I'm always learning something new or getting better.

love travelling, playing in different countries, learning different cultures. currently i m uk person living in philippines, played some live poker in city of dreams and metro card club, love how international poker sites bring all nations from different continents together.. made lots of friends in online poker.. i played goliath a few times in the uk and met some great people too

I play poker for fun. Normally I also play lots of games with friends and family. But poker is something you can play all day every day. For me it is also a very cheap hobby, because luckily I made some profit. I like the adrenaline. And it is especially nice when you can smell the bluffs
