Winning hands.

The marginal hands can easily turn into winning hands, we just have to wait for a flop that gives us the winning hand. And of course that the bets that others do not increase much and thus be able to see that flop.:icon_sant

I will play almost any marginal hand on the button, SB or BB if I can see the flop cheaply, In any other position I will always fold unless of course the person on my left is sat out in an on-line game then it is like being on the button twice, (Bonus!)
It all comes down to pure luck but if the flop gives me a decent draw and everyone checks to me I will bet Aggressively. Call small bets if I actually hit and then push on the River if holding the Nuts! I am constantly surprised by the number of people who will call with top pair and no decent kicker simply because they think I am trying to bluff the pot away from them.
I believe it is my job to make them a believer. (lol).

When the fun Stops, STOP!

I play with small hands or small pocket pairs when I'm in late position and if there are no big bets against me

Against relatively bad tight players, I think you can throw some low suited connectors in like 65 suited. You can catch people out sometimes, and the entertainment of that is worth the money I might lose. Also, 65 suited has better equity than KQ suited against AA, so it is always fun to bust badly played pocket rockets when the opportunity arises.

When I have a lot of chips, very deep, I like to defend BB with marginal hands, especially if the preflop aggressor is a maniac. If I hit a strong hand, the probability of winning a lot of chips is high, as this type of player doesn't know how to fold often.

Because I’m losing when I don’t play with a marginal hand, and I’m trying to make up for it.

"It's ok he's on the big blind, I'm sure he has worse and will fold eventually." Although 10-4 off is a little too loose for my marginal hands. 62 off is more like a hand I would rarely play, if ever.

We all play hands sometimes that we know we shouldn't. What are some of the excuses you make for doing this?
My excuse would be this ...... I call with 4 10 off, because my daughter was born on April 10.
Whats yours?

I had no idea what my “hand” was until I played in a 2.5 million tournament. A few hands into it I was in big blind with 4,6. There was a raise and few callers. It was only 800 more to call and 50k chips to start.. peanuts.. well flop comes A,4,6 and I check. There’s a raise and a re-raise and I call. Turn card don’t remember but again I checked and there was raise and re-raise.. I call and three of us go to river where a 6 comes off. There was about 45k in pot so I bet 10k and then both guys go all in and I knocked em both out.. they were losing it lol and so were others but hey they priced me into seeing that flop.. and it put me I. The top 150 ppl of a 14000 player tournament.. it’s now my hand, I rarely lay it down and I’m telling u I crack all kinds of big hands with it. Not sure how lol but:D:eek:;) I have to be careful of my position etc. If I’m short stacked and it comes up I always go all in. I’d say I win 70-80% pots I play with it. And sometimes it’s just me betting it like it’s a big pair or AK because I’m confident when I see it, it makes ppl fold. I’m just happy I can tell ppl my lucky hand now.

It depends..i usually play when not many people are in the hand. But i play alot when the hands are cheap and when there are expensive because nobody usually calls. Good luck.
