Brazilians and Canadians at poker, who is better.

I'm Brazilian and I see Canadian players with a great game.
ranking as best in such a complex game is quite difficult.
for me the CC tournaments are as level as possible, with great players regardless of their countries.
PS: I would love to live in Canada.

The game of poker is very popular in Brazil, believe it or not. The country has hosted a number of well-known poker tournaments over the years and also has many permanent representatives on any online poker site at any given time.Canadians in the Great White North don't just seem to play hockey. The country is just as passionate about the famous card game as its neighbors, and even boasts a six-time wsop bracelet winner in Daniel Negreanu.

My opinion is that Canadians play better than Brazilians, at least Canadian players play more tight. Players from Brazil take in quantity, and many tournaments feature players from this wonderful country on the final table. There are few players from Canada but they take quality. Playing at the same table with players from these countries is worth respecting both.

I had the interesting experience of playing a Brazilian in a low stakes tournament tonight. I know I managed to get him on tilt, bad. I took his whole stack 4 times, and he kept buying in. Poor guy, he was betting on anything, even won a pot with a pair of 2's.

Unfortunately, most Brazilians I have encountered play a lot better than that!

Actually, I’m “paulistano” (born in the city of São Paulo) and also a “paulista” (born in the state of São Paulo).

I think it is a subjective question, I am from Canada so you know my opinion. I think Players from Brazil play a looser game where as Canadians play a more conservative game.

Well I am not sure that the country where you live determines if you are a good poker player.
But it's just my opinion

If enough Brazilians and Canadians are interested maybe you could talk to the administrators here about setting up some sort of championship game for you. Players from each country could play one or more elimination tournament(s) and then have an eight player tourney to settle the question. If it works out okay, it could probably be enlarged into something like the Olympics where all interested countries could participate. I know that having poker in the Olympics has been talked about here, so why not?

The population of Brazil is much larger than that of Canada. And from quantity one ends up extracting quality. And currently in Brazil there is a large poker community that makes some players stand out.

Brazilians V Canadians. I can't really say who is better. You can't comment on mass players, that they are better than a few. I would say it is the style and attitude.
It is true, the more money you have, the less demand on you, is to win.
The player who plays with aggression, skill and experience in moderation, regardless Brazilian or Canadian, is the best player .

I've already suggested something like this. Feedback came back as, it is very difficult to do or takes a long time to set up, from previous times, they said it would be a consideration for something similar one day, so watch this space....

If it did come about, so that it was fair to all the other nationalities, the Brazilians would have to be whittled down amongst themselves, so that the surviving players headcount, is equal to other countries, before the real games begin....📣📣📣

Brazilians vs Canadians. Been around for 15 years playing online and I think it's really close. So overall hard to see which country is better. I think there's way more Brazilian players so if there's a slight edge it's too Brazil for overall number of players.

I've played against some pretty good micro/low stakes Brazilian players and some bad. Same for Canadians.....some of us aren't so good either lol.

I had pretty good success staking Brazilian players on GG poker in MTT's. Staked a few Canadians and did good as well. Just in my experience you see less Canadians at least online.
