I think that's a completely subjective opinion. How many Canadians and how many Brazilians won the tournament?

Actually, these days online poker is just dominated by players from Brazil. On days I might be deep in an MTT, 5 or 6 of the players on my table will be from Brazil. I realize this doesn't necessarily mean they are better players but I think just the sheer numbers, the number of poker schools and HUGE staking groups (like MASSIVE ones) help to develop a large number of profitable players who are playing online poker.

The very top players (like the top 100 of actively playing HSMTT players) come from a variety of places... but still even there the Brazilians dominate.

I still believe Canadians are better, but hey: this is just my opinion. And Debi has a point, good players come from anywhere. Even in Vatican we’ll find some good priests and bishops playing poker.

It is necessary to look at the statistics of the final tables of players from these countries in live poker tournaments, then there will be more objective information about the high gaming status.

I have encountered a lot of Brazilians on PokerStars, but Canadians are quite rare. I think it's probably because I play on the micro limits. Brazilians tend to play aggressively, and the majority of them are regular players. It's impressive that they are able to earn money through poker instead of resorting to criminal activities, especially considering the challenging situation in their country. It definitely deserves respect.

For lower limits for sure, but for high stakes poker Canadians beat Brazilians easily.
Canadians play best because they don’t have the pressure to produce results as Brazilians have to produce and demonstrate them.
Brazilians use to think too much about themselves, when in fact Brazil is a poor and devastated by corruption and public service.
Many Brazilians use to sing “I, I am Brazilian, with a lot of proud and with a lot of love”, but personally I’m not a bit proud of being or living in a country where misery, corruption, crime, despise, heavy elite classes overwhelming the people are common as finding grains in the sea’s beach.
That's what we call a "mongrel complex" (complexo de vira-lata), a Brazilian who only sees the problems of his country and feels small when he is in a place mostly of foreigners... sad...

Well about theThread;
I think Brazilian players get risk than Canadian ones, and i say from my experience...
Especially at the beginning of tournaments, Canadians tend to play more tide.
If at the beginning of a tournament you take a tribet from a Canadian, it's usually because he has a really strong hand... In the middle of the game, they tend to loosen up and vary too much aggressiveness....
Brazilians, on the other hand, tend to bluff heavily.
But there are some good players in both countries, so I don't think I can choose who is better, but I'm a Negreanu fan!! haha

Your comment might sound offensive mate. Most of Brazilians are hard working people, not engaged in criminal activities (except some politicians and public servants).

It can be. But statistics won’t fail. If we do consider Brazilian education, health, social service, and many other things we are going to see what it is. Just take a brief look at our IDH.

Look brother is a very general question and refers only to Cardschat.
For me without a doubt, the players who perform best in Cardschat are Ukrainians and Europeans in general.
If you have a rivalry with the Canadians, I'll explain what I think.
For me, the Canadian plays better, because the Canadian is very cold as an iceberg to play. On the other hand, the Brazilian is like in soccer, they play the wonderful game as long as the result is very favorable for them.
What do I want to tell you with this? That when everything goes well, the Brazilian shines a lot, but when things start to go wrong, the Brazilian tends to become destabilized, something that I don't see happen to the Canadian very often.
Since now not all Brazilians play the same, I have my Brazilian friends here who I see them play very well, always very cautious and respectful at the tables.
And I tell you first of all that I am Argentine, and what I am telling you I am not saying because there is a supposed rivalry between Brazilians and Argentines, because I really do not have a rivalry with any country when it comes to poker.
There I want to beat everyone, whether it's South American, European, North American, African or Asian, it doesn't matter to me I want to beat everyone.
In addition, I get along very well with my Brazilian friends, thank God, it's more like I have better communication here with them than with several of my compatriots.

I didn't mean to offend anyone, it's just that corruption and everything you wrote about your country resembles what has happened and I believe is still happening in my country. Many people in my country are taking the easy path towards crime, although they could learn poker or other useful things that would allow them to earn a living, like the Brazilians. Perhaps you misunderstood me, maybe the difficulties with my English painted a false picture of my thoughts. I'm sorry again if I offended you in any way.

Hello brother, question answered:giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle:
Good to read it mate. I’m not sure if your reply is to me, but I liked it anyways. I’m great fan of Argentina and have many friends there, here in the forum I have a lovely mate, @gustav197poker for example.
I love Maradona and Messi, to me the football played by Argentina is awesome and I love when Argentina beats Brazil in the field!

Cheers and warm hugs!

Hello brother

Thank you for your words

No, I'm not saying it for you or for my Brazilian brothers in the forum who play very well.

It is true what you say about football brother. I really don't like it when Brazil beats Argentina kkkkkkkkkkk
But I have enjoyed a lot, especially Ronaldo and Ronaldhino, my Brazilian idols.
I am a total fan of them
