Doyle Brunson and Amarillo Slim proved that poker can be a way of living and possible to be successful. Chris Moneymaker created the boom. And Daniel was a mentor and an idol for up and comers. Thats how i feel

He certainly is one of the most great players in poker. Much of us is to what to learn from this person. I think its progress - a serious motivator for the beginning players.

The GOAT in my opinion.
Maybe is a little Canadian bias, but they guy is an unreal poker player.

I would play the same against him as I would play anyone.
I would just focus more on how he plays and what he does all the time and try to adjust.
It would be hard, because hes super good lol.

Have to say he is in the top 5 for sure. Few guys ahead like Doyle, Stu and a couple more bracelets. Nobody can read a table and a hand like him. He certainly will be at end of his career though.

i consider doyle better than daniel, doyle has been crushing cash games for decades and still does, ivey is a beast, phil galfond is someone who i see is level headed and will stand the test of time.. daniels a great player one of the greatest of all time, but greatest? i don't think so

"Best player of all time": what does that mean? Best at fixed limit or big bet? Best at head up or full ring play? Best in cash games or tournaments? What kind of tournaments? Multi-table? Sit 'n' Go? Does the question even make sense?

I'd play Daniel the same as I'd play anyone else. Hell, his game philosophy is very similar to mine.

He's been a great player, consistently for many many years. ... he has won many live tournaments and does well at high stakes cash games and I can learn a lot from him - and I respect him. And the money he is raking in from poker stars is ridiculous. But I'd play my game vs him, he'd have the edge i'm sure, but he wouldn't play me like i'm just some tourist.... : )

Id have to say that not so kid poker is one of the greatest players of all time for sure. especially his abilities to read. he does run bad just like everyone else but even when he runs bad his reads are still 100 % spot on. its unbelievable. he is what i would call a poker naturalist.
