Tonight started well, thanks to Savage for railing me. Got me playing nittier overall and 3betting slightly more. Put in another session and that went very very poorly with two sets getting cracked, and basically playing hands straight forward but not getting action/etc.

Anyways another losing day, -$25 by my estimate (I didnt really look) but I do think I am playing better ... but I don't think my luck has changed.

So I dont think I'll be playing or on CC for a while. The 24 hour break just wasn't enough, so I'll see you guys probably sometime after the weekend. Later.

Belgo, are you playing 6-max or FR now?

8 tabling FR yesterday. But I move back and forth between that and 6max.

fk coursework imo

been spending about 90 minutes on a question and still havn't got anything written down, not even the internet knows the answer to 'give a 1-1 correspondence between the set N(natural numbers) and n U {a,b}, where {a,b} is the set of two letters'. Beleive me noone in the entire world knows the answer to this question

function f defined as

f(0) = a
f(1) = b
f(n) = n-2 for all number n>=2 in N

then if you want to ace the test, you add that this works because both sets N and N U {a,b} are aleph-null

Belgo is spot on, presuming you quoted the question right. "the set of two letters" is a bit ambiguous, but the notation {a,b} isn't. So I presume it's the set of specifically 'a' and 'b', and not any two letters.

I took (and barely passed) an electricity class in college. I remember the teacher saying that 5 amps would stop your heart, but you could have 50,000 volts flowing through you without any problems.

The thing is, jagsti's transfo acts as a tension source, not as a current source. So it will garantee a fixed tension of 19V, and the current it delivers will depend on the impedance (resistance mostly) of the circuit it faces. If the circuit is air, it's a good enough insulator and no current goes through. If the circuit is jagsti's tongue, it's a pretty good conductor and the current would get to a level where it hurts. If it's dry fingers, it might tickle.

Holy jesus juice, thats almost exactly what i put as a pure guess after finding something slightly related on google. Just a shame that i forgot to put the n>=2 part bleh

Just needed to post my small brag: my BR is over $1000 for the first time!

About six months ago, I went through a MAJOR downswing at my regular $25NL game on Full Tilt. So I dropped down to $10 (on Stars because of the ridiculous rake at $10 on FT) and really worked on my game, plugging leaks. The Stars 40% reload bonus offer came along, and I promised myself I wouldn't move back up until I cleared it and felt really confident in my game again. With my RL, I am unable to put in a lot of hands (I'm happy if I play 2000 hands in one month), and it takes a LONG time to clear bonuses at Stars at $10NL. Anyway, I cleared the nice bonus in early November, and I feel like I brought my game to a new level. Went back to $25NL on Tilt (hooray, rakeback!), and have been playing strong. Obviously I'm VERY overrolled for this limit, but I'm definitely a BR nit. Going to stay here until I've put in enough hands so I'm still confident, then hopefully take shots at $50NL early next year.

Thanks everyone for your help in the HA forum, I'll see you on the tables.

Sushi, candied peanuts, 3L of orange juice and a bag of cool ranch doritos. You buy some pretty weird stuff at the grocery store when you're starving...

Grats GunslingerZ!!

Can't go wrong with kinder surprise... ever.

BTW do you Americans know what kinder is ?
Seeing as it's a german product and all.

Congrats on the BR Milestone !

Went back to $25NL on Tilt (hooray, rakeback!), and have been playing strong. Obviously I'm VERY overrolled for this limit, but I'm definitely a BR nit.

$1000 is not VERY overrolled for 25nl. It would only be 20 buy-ins for the next limit.

Try mixing both levels to get used to the next one with good table selection. Like going to tableratings and sitting at the fishiest 50nl table you find in addition to your 25nl ones.

Right forgot you had the word kindergarden :)

Kinder surprise is so awesome, the chocolate is like 10x better than in the kinder chocolate bar. Even though it's the same principle :(

I don't remember a lot of three-bets. I remember recommending the 3-bet with A/Q on the button and another with what I think was J/J on the button (that you opted to just call) against a min-raiser and two callers. Talking about it afterward I half-joked that the min-raise did not count as a raise.

It's too bad about your second session not working out. :( But at least you didn't succumb to the "Death via K/K" curse that seems to plague people I rail.

<confession>I'm secretly glad that you did better with me there than without.</confession>

As for my own game. My laptop's hard drive filled last Friday. I backed up all my data, deleted the secondary partition, and used my computer kung-fu to repartition the C: to triple its original size and creating a smaller D: partition to hold My Documents and Downloads and stuff. But it's slow, but at least it works.
I did PokerTracker's housekeeping last night, expecting it to take and hour. Two hours later it was still on the first step, so I canceled and it told me it would end after the first step was complete.
Six hours later it was still running so I went to bed.
I don't play rings without my HUD crutch, so I didn't play last night.
This morning housekeeping was still running.

I'll be getting a new computer for Christmas, so this hell will end soon.
The new PC will have over 3x the processing power and 5x the memory of my laptop, so I'll be able to make some videos (hopefully).
You know... record sessions until I run hot/lucky then save that session and pretend that it's just a typical game. ;)

I'm torn between playing online and playing a live tournament tonight. Normally I'd play live, but it has higher variance and I did just go last week, *and* I din't get to play at all last night online. I'll see how I feel later tonight. Last Thursday I played the live game and got to 2nd table (of 7) before getting KO'd. Can't complain too much, as I won half of my 4 coin flips at the end. (I guess if I'd won the first one I wouldn't have been in some of the others)

I'm still alive, guys! Just been playing/studying a little bit. Had to cash out errrrthing in early November (I actually left $5 to play with) and since then things are progressing pretty well.

I'm dying to get to 25nl. Feel free to leave words of encouragement like "25nl is cake". It would help. :)
