So it's now Dec. 4th, and I havn't played a hand of poker yet this month. After going back to my parents for the holidays and bumping in to an old HS friend (who also happens to play poker full time) I decided that I really do hate poker. I no longer enjoy playing and for the past couple months, my hands per month had steadily declined until I was only playing about 40k a month, or about 1/3 or so of what I used to play. I figured it must be pretty bad when I can't even force myself to play for 4 hours a day anymore, and have people just basically hand me money.
It saddens me really. For the last 4+ years, poker was about the only thing I did enjoy doing, and now I hate it. So at the advice of a couple friends, I'm taking a couple months off. Maybe I'll go back to tending bar for a while, probably take a vacation, and hopefully renew my love for the game. I'll still be around a lot as I still enjoy studying the game and discussing it. I even took on a new student recently, and may take on another in the near future. So yeah, as of this moment, I no longer have any funds on any poker site, and won't for probably quite a while.
