There are some hands that I know aren't necessarily bad, but I just never feel comfortable playing them. For me it depends a lot on the position and who's at the table.

Sometimes I’ll play the hand anyway and end up wishing I had just folded it.

Does anyone else have a hand like that, where you just don't really like playing it even though it's probably fine?

All the broadway AX hands (AK to AT) no matter if suited or not are often very hard to play hands even if you are an experienced poker player.

They are considered premiumish but they need very much help form the dealt board.

It is very easy to overplay these hands.

I feel AA is overrated. People just get a pair and feel confident forgetting that is the lowest hand

Yes, I do have a hand I hate: K9. It always feels like it tricks me. And if it’s not K9… then definitely J2, the most toxic combo ever.“K9 always gets me into bad spots. And J2… that’s just an automatic fold.

AA is definitely not overratede...
In preflop, it holds the highest equity in the game (around + 80% against any random hand)...... While it’s technically "just a pair," it is the absolute best pair. Your point is spot on: if the board pairs on the river, your two pair will always beat theirs.
The issue isn't the hand; it's how people play it:p

Basically I just have trauma with that hand. Am at the final table folding a lot of hands and suddenly I get AA, then I proceed to go all in and lost. Not once or twice, I just feel like the system is trying to trap me

Definitely AK (Ace-King). Mathematically you know it's a premium hand, but it's the ultimate 'pain generator' when you completely whiff the flop and have to navigate awkward spots out of position against someone who hit a pair of fours. You're essentially just playing a glorified drawing hand unless you spike an ace or king, and it always feels like a trap when aggression gets met with heavy resistance.

There are a lot of times when I look down at my cards and know its an any 2 shove, but I still look anyways because I know they will call.

Every AK scares me a lot. Either overplaying them or getting stacked. Always bad :(

There’s a hand—A-J—that gives me the impression I always lose with it; I don’t know why that happens, but I hate playing that hand. I’d rather play 5-5, 4-4, 3-3, or 2-2.

good hands that you feel obligated to open are always tough...hands like AQ, AJ or JJ can cost a lot of money from an early position.

I haven't hated any hand, there have been occasions in a row, when AA came to me, in which I have been eliminated, now when it comes to me, all I have felt is insecurity.

JJ. 😅 I know it’s a strong hand, but I just hate playing it sometimes. It looks great preflop, but there are so many awkward spots after the flop. When an overcard comes, suddenly you’re not so confident anymore. And when you get a lot of action preflop, it can be difficult to know where you really stand. Definitely one of those hands that can make you feel uncomfortable despite being a premium hand.
