Yes, a few. Weak offsuit hands like 7♣2♦ or 8♠3♥ are usually my least favorite because they're difficult to play profitably. I'd rather fold and wait for a better spot.

AK, but not the AK suited, that makes me feel relatively calm about my decisions, but I hate playing AKo, I feel that whenever I raise or defend the flop it brings low numbers or Q J that I would be winning, such as AQ AJ KQ hands

A9 and below. especially suited.. Cause it can help with a flush draw. but if you dont hit a flush but pair up Aces and you have an agressor. Do you still have a strong hand? its hard to let them go at times. 😓 When i end up losing to AK or i tell myself this is exactly why it's a bad idea. but then there has been times when it turned out ok. maybe even hitting 2 pairs A2 or even a set with maybe 2's. as an example. so cant just count the bad days. got to consider your risk vs reward strategy here.

For me, it’s probably KJo. It’s playable in the right spot, but I always feel like it gets me into awkward situations.

Hands I don't really like playing are low pocket pairs when we don't connect, and even medium pocket pairs when the community cards are mostly high cards. They can make us play very passively and put us in some pretty uncomfortable spots.

more like a scenerio. i hate JJ AK or AA during the last few hands before being ITM when i'm only around 2 -3 ranks in from being out of the money and theirs still a few people left. JJ because can easily get beaten and the other two because i want to go agressive but then get scared that some randomer with such a weak hand gets lucky

JJ cause every time I have it the flop always comes with at least 2 higher cards in it and a majority of the time one of them cards is always an Ace that hits the flop.

Cheers!!!

This condition is absolutely normal and is familiar to every poker player. Poker even has a special term for this — “problem hands” (problem hands).
You are absolutely right to attribute this to your position and your opponents. Poker is not a game of two cards, but of information and situations. The discomfort is due to the fact that some difficult maps are often viewed in a “dominance trap” or in a difficult post-flop situation (after the first three shared maps are released)

JJ—you have no idea how much I hate this hand. It might look like a very strong pre-flop hand, but it isn't; I definitely need to learn how to play it

Totally. It happens to me with hands like KJ: on paper, they have a lot of playability, but out of position or against certain opponents, they seem like a trap. They're the kind of hands that look amazing when you get them... but when you're matched with a big bet, you start to wonder why you got in the hand.

There are some hands that I know aren't necessarily bad, but I just never feel comfortable playing them. For me it depends a lot on the position and who's at the table.

Sometimes I’ll play the hand anyway and end up wishing I had just folded it.

Does anyone else have a hand like that, where you just don't really like playing it even though it's probably fine?

Absolutely. There are some hands that I dislike playing even when they look playable on paper. The difficult part is that you can start making decisions based on how much you hate the hand rather than on the actual situation. I try to focus on position, the action before me, and the opponent instead of letting the cards frustrate me. Is there one particular hand that always gives you trouble?

Yes, the worst of all is offsuit 7-2. But since I know it has no potential, I fold immediately and am happy not to lose chips as the hand plays out.

Definitely. There are a few hands I just never feel good about playing, even when I know they’re probably fine. A lot of the time it really comes down to position and who I’m up against. And yeah, nothing worse than playing one anyway and then wishing you’d just folded 😂

I absolutely hate AQs - you somehow always end up against AK on an A-high flop.

Do you ever have a hand you just hate playing?

Yes - nowadays I try my best to switch my default style of play from TAG to LAG, so I have put a lot of Ax/Kx hands in... a hand that constantly makes me 'burn money' is AJ, no matter the position - I seem to always find a way to lose the pot and often is a pretty big one (the classic - kicker issues and surprisingly I seem to run a lot into QQ and KK...), I know better than to be superstitious and let bad (short-term) results affect my decisions... still, this hand is 'cursed' - just give it to me when I play blackjack

I don't like AK, I very rarely win with it. I prefer to play 22, for example, even though theoretically the chances are the same.

I can't seem to make KK work . min raising , limp and reraise , open shove ,re raise shove , limp and fold flop in a multi way pot . It seems like the hand loses for me way more than it should mathematically ,whatever method i try !

I'm sure many of you heard me joke I need to learn how to fold pre-flop pocket kings. Hell, I don't even think I should just play them, period. For me, pocket kings seems to be the one that's haunting. I mean, it's not just that the ace pops up or anything else. I just... I swear that hand is jinxed.
