Do you keep any money you win from poker tournaments?

So if I win a larger sum, I have the largest part paid out and then start all over again with a smaller bankroll. I won 2500$ at Pokerstars (2.20$ bet) 2400$ had I cashed out and the rest was just a gamble away. Unfortunately I haven't won anything in that direction for a long time

Now I'm just trying a small one with various freerolls at Pokerstars Building up a bankroll is not that easy. :rolls:

I spend all my wins on more tournaments. Unless i win big (1k and more), then i cash out 70% and keep playing

I am a disciplined and patient player. I only play poker and only NL Hold'em. I don't play in casinos, and I rarely bet on sports. Thanks to this, I have good results, my bankroll grows and the game brings me pleasure and profit.

I have always invested my winnings in poker tournaments with bigger prizes and so far I have not had any significant gains. I do not regret having lost it because I know that soon I will be lucky and I will earn good money! Now, I don't like to play BJ because it's so treacherous. I recommend playing tournaments with buy-ins under $10 and when you do not play at other tables so that you can concentrate. Good luck to everyone

For myself the focus and draw of the game of poker was always about the thinking part of the game... the skill factor and wanting become the best I could be at it (or to at least be striving to continually improve my skills & knowledge). It didn't matter if it was a $1 game or a $100 game... the goal was the same >> play my best in each and every spot.

I have family members who were more interested in 'the money'. Guess who's won more in the long term?

My motto has been >>> look after your game and the money will take care of itself.

The mindset while playing cash games is >> play to the best of my ability in each & every situation/spot. Play for as long as I feel I'm able to do this (OR for a period of time that I'm enjoying playing).
I don't go in with the "As soon as I reach 'x' number of dollars I am leaving the table! Why would I want to leave the table if I was playing good and not feeling tired?

One of the greatest virtues of poker is self-control and patience, so I think that just like measuring losses and gains, we should work this part together with studies depending on our goals, regardless of making us lose little or being under control.

Obviously there are people who play for different reasons but I believe everyone wants to win.

In my case, I withdraw whenever I reach a certain amount, I withdraw and invest in funds and stocks or in treasury bonds.

I only play real money at PokerStars and I never withdraw any money cause the most I had was $320.00
Which I won in casino slots.
It's just for entertainment.

I usually withdraw at least 50% and leave the other 50% to continue playing. If the amount is too much, I take everything away and see how much I decide to charge.

I don't gamble with all the money that I win. If it's an interesting prize, I always cashout at least 40-50% and with the rest I use to play more tournaments. I don't like casino games, so, I never lose money on them. When I lose, I usually lose playing higher stakes than I should, but if it's from freerolls winnings then it's ok for me.

I have a couple of friends who are exactly like that. I just keep building my bankroll and enjoy the game by taking shots at higher stakes once in a while. It's not about the money, I consider my bankroll the tools of this work.

Sometimes when I win I don't make any withdrawals. I sign up for cash games. Adrenaline is greater, but the winnings are also greater and the time is shorter. In case I lose everything (it still happens 😂) I start building the bankroll again, if everything goes in my favor I withdraw. 👍👍👍

I can to say about self: I have put the bar by my bankroll. This means, that more it, I try at once withdraw money! And also I'm trying not go down this bar...
Because stability in Poker, as and in Life it's very important for mental and common state of Health by my opinion... Because Health is number 1 anyway!
