Do You Play Live as Well as Online?

I can't say I like one more than the other. I really enjoy online play from the comfort of home. Sometimes I just want to throw on some comfy clothes and kick back and click the mus. But I also enjoy the elegance of live play. I enjoy getting all dressed up and the production of walking into the casino with all the flashing lights and noises....

Agreed, I'm often distracted at home as I have the TV on in the background with a sporting event on, or listening to a podcast on my ipod, stepping away to get another cup of coffee... so I half-heartedly play. I'm much more attentive in a live game.

I often play cards in a small circle,but this is not poker.And my success is much higher.Live game much better.

The distractions help me to NOT play every hand out of boredom. I imagine that as a younger man, my attention span is shit by comparison, especially given the instant-access nature of the world I've known since I was born.

I have a mindless game on my phone that I play between playable hands. Literally, it's just enough to keep me from playing suited 86 or 89 off every time.

Hello! I'm always playing poker with my friends, but as my friend had a birthday and I decided to give him a poker set, you would see the reaction of friends when he unfolded the gift, it's not comparable, after that every Saturday we try to get together and arrange a small tournament believe in a live game of us, it's more interesting and pleasant than on the Internet (try not to get pissed)!

Just can’t beat playing live.

as much as i enjoy online poker just doesn’t compare to live games. Feels more honest and even though the bad beats are just as frequent/infrequent it feels more like just bad luck rather than getting cheated by an algorithm!

I like live WAY BETTER! It's much easier to get a read on opponents and a feel for who you are playing. This may be off topic but I saw a player yesterday on ACR played 25/80 NL named W. Kassouf and thought it could be the pro so I watched him play for a half hour . Tight as can be - played only one or two hands before losing an allin 10k pot with QQ against KK... can you imagine losing over 5k on one hand? He left immediately after.

Live is more natural , and I win often playing cash. For online I play tournament majority of the time and I bust a ton of them, its hard to dodge bad beats for 3-4 hours online.

There're no casinos for me to play live in my town so I play online poker only. I really wish one day I can play live poker at least once. I guess it would be an interesting experience.
