In the last year ... I have taken poker more seriously ... and practically I have played every day ... with some personal character ... but I usually play between 6 to 8 hours a day .... !

When I was younger and online poker was booming I played almost every day. But now I work a lot of hours and have kids. I am happy to enjoy a few games a week.

Recently I have been playing 3-4 hours a day. I decided to take this Sunday off from playing though to read articles and forums. Will probably watch some videos and pick up some tips and learn a bit more. For myself taking a day off here or there gives m mind a rest and a little refresh. I can usually concentrate a bit more for the first few days after taking a day off.

For me the biggest problem is the weather ... Due in the week just playing at night my time is reduced, but when I can play around 6 hours on the day ..

Usually take 1 or 2 days off a week, sometimes it's good just to recharge and not have to worry for a bit. Although I usually end up doing some kind of reading or hand analysis but not much. I think if you play a lot you should at least take 1 day off a week, I see some people just not emotionally invested near the end of the day and they just want it to be over, and that definitely has a subconscious effect on their play. I give myself a little time off to avoid that.
