I do not like cash game, I do not think I have much patience to play them, I see a lot of people who make a lot of money just playing cash games, I'll start practicing the micros, to see if I can adapt to the game, and then put more money And try to be happy playing cash game

It is true that one is responsible for their losses or profits, but you can not ignore the percentage that you call variance and I am unlucky. And this is given in both mtt and cash. I personally evaluate the time it takes, a mtt can take 6 or 8 hours for low prizes, so I prefer cash

I think that tournaments work better for me. Only like cash games in person.

Tournaments

It depends on the tourney and how many seats
QUOTE=Rational Madman;3781043]I don't hate tournaments at all, they are more enjoyable especially big ones as you kill people off with your smart bluffs and then smart calls of bluffs.

I just want you all to know that cash games reward smart players more because you can RECOVER from bad variance much FASTER.[/QUOTE]

Everyone will have a different opinion. Players who play tournaments can also say about cash-games. And vice versa. To whom that is more like. Some even play all the games.

Personally it depends on my bankroll. If I need money I'll do cash game if I have enough to play around with i do tourneys bc the payout is better

I am lover of the tournaments, I consider that the different levels and stages of the game are learned; Is a format more adapted to reality and where we aim what we want to win some live tournaments.

I never play a cash game, I'm so bored, maybe the same as I do not like roulette, tournaments are for me, I used to roll on them, tried the san cash game and I did not like it

I like to dabble in a bit of both. After a long day I'll usually juzt cash table it a bit before bed. Other days when i have the time I'll get into a tournament.

I would prefer the cash games more often, especially when time is of the essence. I carry i full time job with 2 kids and a wife, so to have 3-4 hours to do a tournament is nearly impossible throughout the week. I think i agree with a lot of other people though, if it weren't for the tournaments i probably wouldn't stay as interested. The thrill you get when you get to the final table is hard to find somewhere else. :deal:

Both

I usually play a cash table and a tournament at the same time. It allows me to variate different styles and betting patterns. :D;)

I play tournaments mainly, ones that have a definite end and prize, otherwise I'll end up losing my whole bank roll at once when someone gets lucky with a 2,7 (we all know it happens)

I like the odd Omaha cash game now and then, but it's very hit and miss.

Sit and Go's are my next preference as long as the starting stack is at least higher than 500 otherwise it quickly becomes a game of bingo

Tournaments because it's easier to plan how much money and time you'll be playing poker.

To play in the tournament more interesting, you can win a lot, if you're lucky. In the cache has not won a lot.

As a general rule, I prefer multi-tabling cash games. I can get in or out whenever I want. I can take breaks whenever I want. I can leave completely if I'm feeling stressed by too many bad beats or bad decisions.

On the other hand, I like tournaments when I'm feeling refreshed, in top form, and have lots of time.

I've done that but find it way too confusing. I prefer to multi-table games of the same type and stakes. The fewer variables that I have to keep track of, the better.

I'm a tournament player. I like to compete. Also I go in it knowing how much I could lose. I'm trying to be a better cash game player, but the downswing does bother me if I lose too much. Something I hope to improve on

Playing tournaments is the best you risk less and you win more but it also takes a little more time

I used to play only tourneys, then I started to realize that the amount of time I put in to get knocked out the end was not all that worth it. I started playing cash tables more and started winning more. Too bad that as I started getting the hang of it, that Poker Stars blew out.
Now I am starting all over. And started with some free rolls. Now that I finally figured out how to deposit, I am going to try more cash games.
