No, strictly a rec player at this point. Still have to do the 40+ hour grind to pay mortgage, etc.

From the money to the Blackjack

I usually end up winning some coin, and then head straight to a live blackjack table and end up blowing it. I want the big win, but it doesn't seem to want to happen... Had a 10K stack on Unibet betting 1500 a hand, and went bust pretty quick with that fastest most unlucky dealer I have met.:vollkomme

Honestly Now, How many of you can say Poker pays for your way of life?

Doesn't matter what format, Game type, what Poker Room or Platform you choose to play if you have found that now your game is providing a better quality of life then tell your story here.

Obviously its great to know the before and after immediate changes like one morning finding you're $1 away from bankruptcy and the next day you're rushing to enter the next biggest Poker buy in...

Also hearing about other life changes like how you convinced your family it was worth while pursuing, instead of the job you've held down for years...

Did you ever give the last employer the excuse "Sorry Boss, I earn more on the Poker Circuit than you can give me"?

LOL it would be nice to be in your shoes even if only to read about it online so give us some thing to dream about!!!

Stop when the fun stops or when you wake up!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

Hi, I just remembered a man from our forum who won 250 thousand dollars. Here is a link to his post about it, and he is still active here.)

Hi. Back in 2008 I played a LOT of online poker and it paid my rent. When the sites all got shut down I never did see some of my money again (I only had a couple hundred in the account at the time) and decided I would take a break. Returning now. Really to improve my game and win a big tourney some day! :D

if you need play poker to pay your rent you are a sad person.

I don't think "need" is the focus here but even so..why would that make someone a sad person?

I can pay for some services like electricity, telephone and internet and I also have money to eat.

Maybe it's not much but I think it helps me a lot and I only play 3 or 4 times a week.

I think the idea of making an income to keep the cost of living is attractive for POKER

However we must have a significant investment to initiate the so

Or patiently makes evolution bankroll or investing significant amounts to be able to play games with higher returns but result in greater losses if their performance is not as good

So we need to analyze in peace and not have those expectations the work of POKER has to be the medium and long term

Don't I wish poker would pay my rent

However, I would like to have enough money so I wouldn't even have to use poker winnings to pay my rent.:elefant:

If I relied on poker to pay my rent I would be homeless.

I do make enough to spend on life extras though.

My opinion

Poker can pay rent if you lose in small buy in tournaments or freerolls and win in the big million dollar guarantee tournaments like they have on ACR. I have yet to exercise that luck but have cashed in some tournaments.

Poker does not pay my rent, i am struggling to keep my bank roll intact.

And as a hobby player, if poker payed my living, i had to go and find a new hobby.:)

As things are right now, golf is not an option:)
