Have you ever had suicidal thoughts because of your poker losses?

If everyone thought so, who would play poker. You need to be aware of the actions, everyone can either lose or win. If you have such thoughts, then it is worth changing the hobby.

l like to play poker. For me POKER IS A GAME and you play game if you enjoy in this game. always bring at the table money which you can lose

Everybody who has that thoughts should stop playing immediately....

People,who have that kind of thoughts are not welcome in poker rooms. It`s better for them to go fishing for example.

This is a very serious question, if you feel like that seek help. Remember that it is just a game, if you are spending money that you could not lose it is also a case of asking for expert help. On poker sites there are even help topics and responsible gambling.
The most I feel at times is the desire to break something and abandon poker. A hug! if you need help or just talk to someone who is available, just send a PM.

The game is supposed to be a fun thing, if you are not having fun and get frustrated when you lose and consequently lose money, then it is better not even to play.
We have no guarantee that we will profit from a session, we only have to go to the tables with money that we can lose, doing a good bank management.

I had my share of a streak bad luck... but it never came into my mind suicidal thoughts! Me too would probably have quit poker if there's no cardschat~

OP if poker makes you feel like this please stop playing.

You are either playing way outside your means or have other issues. Please find somebody to talk to.

I only ever sit down to a cash game or buy into a tournament with a sum I am happy to lose. That is so important.

Of course not. If there is a series of losses, then it's okay. Do not commit suicide ?! If you hit on tilt, it is better to just leave the room and not play poker for a while.

Not at all. I don't even worry too much when I lose. I have my deposit limits, so I can't lose too much. At most I can lose $60 a month and that's definitely not a reason to commit suicide.

If you are losing too much through any form of gambling then it is time to Stop. It will effect your Marriage and other relationships you have with Friends and Family, to the point where you might feel that to feed your ambition to strike it rich, you need that one big win to get you out of that hole, and you will beg, borrow or even steal to get into that one game that will get you out of it.
Life is not like that, and I learned long before I got married that Gambling is great fun at times when you are winning but when you have responsibilities to other people you really cannot afford to lose.
When I was single I had times when I was so broke I had to borrow money to survive until my next pay-check came in, and I sadly believed my addiction was not hurting anyone but myself, I was dead wrong because it was effecting my Friends and Family who would always lend me cash, even when it was hard on them to do so.
Eventually when I got into a relationship with my future Wife I decided it was time to quit as I did not want to put her through my losing sessions, My problem was not Poker, but the Horse's and Dog track.
I still like an occasional Flutter on the Horse's but limit myself to gamble only on a day out at the Race course, my last was about 6 years ago, so it is not a daily thing, I can take it or leave it when I want to.
Some people will say that any addiction cannot be managed, you need to stop and never do it at all, But my Philosophy is, If I can manage it to such a point, that I know what I am losing, then I am not a true addict, and Poker is like that, I know exactly what it cost's me because I have never deposited, and my Bankroll is all pure Profit, from Free-rolls.

first lesson, learn to deal with losses.

if you have thoughts of suicide, you should seek help from specialist doctors!

If you have had these thoughts it would have nothing to do with poker, that would be the excuse, your problem is something of a greater nature seek help
