Have you ever thought about stopping poker?

Well ... I have been playing seriously for a couple of years ... and on two occasions I was about to stop playing ... because I had two bad streaks and lost my bank roll ... I felt very depressed ... however then I saw some streams of professional players where they explained that they also had bad streaks ... and even so they continued playing ... That gave me the necessary strength not to give up poker ...!

I have definitely thought about quitting many times during lengthy losing streaks. But usually after a bit of time off, and a re-evaluation of my real long term winnings (i.e. reality), I get my enthusiasm back for the game.

Yes, many times I thought about stopping playing poker, because I get frustrated but all I do is go back to studying and continue playing in order to get better results that one day will take me to a more suitable plane for my search.

Yes, of course, I quit playing for quite a long time, but now this is my fairly stable hobby, which I devote my time to and I have no thoughts about quitting it

stop playing poker when you love to do it is difficult but depending on how you do in the game it is a decision that you have to think seriously if your losses are uncontrollable

I will never stop playing, even if I win the Sunday storn or an important tournament, for me it is a religion, a lifestyle, it is not a hobby, I see it differently, for me, it is my life.

If you lose, don't bother, understand that you gave your best effort ...

I had stopped playing about 10 years ago. At the time I was playing to make a quick buck but I ended up loosing my 100$ deposit pretty quickly and decided I do not want to put to much money in. Now I try to watch my bankroll a bit more although it is sometimes hard to do.

Twice in the last 3 weeks for example I have had 3k upswings followed by a 3k downswing both times,then I take a break from the midstakes trying to make sense of the variance and study my approach to the game my buy ins and my hand history and notes to see what is stopping me from breaking out to the higher stakes from the midstakes.
Poker is a rollercoaster of emotions due to the highs and lows caused by variance many players think of quitting during those low times I reckon.:dontknow:

I used to think that I would make money quickly on poker. But it turns out it's not easy. But I don't want to quit. Earlier, there were no training topics. Now I am learning a lot, I will analyze my game. I want to at least keep my bankroll. But there is still no success. I think that in a year I will learn a lot from you and it will be useful to me at the games.

Like most people when things go again'st me or when i get a bad run of beats i think about quitting but i wont quit i will keep playing poker as long as it does not effect my day to day or effect me financially then i will know it is time to stop
