Why ask such a question. Our whole life is a game. And the desire to win will not fade away.To forget means to give up to experience defeat yourself.

I find such enjoyment from playing poker whether its with friends or at an organized tournament. It brings people from all sorts of backgrounds to a common table.

I have thought about quitting online poker quite a few times. Its hard on the nerves
for me as compared to live poker. If not for the free rolls I surely would be playing rarely or not at all online.

I’ve taken breaks during exam sessions and other busy parts of my life - only playing live to socialise - but I’ve never given up poker all together.

Had to stop playing slots.

Had a gambling problem with slot machines and had to quit entirely. Slot free for about 6 years now. I don't let poker get out of hand, I learned my lesson.

I play in order to learn how to win regularly. However, several times after I built my bankroll from scratch, and later I lost everything, I wanted to stop playing at all ....

Why should you stop playing poker? It's almost like removing sports betting. Not obligatory to play!

I do not see the point of throwing your favorite hobby, I certainly do sometimes breaks in the game, as everything tends to bother, but after a couple of weeks I come back to your favorite game

I think most of us love this sport, because of the different emotions that it generates. But what keeps us most is the desire to win, whose possibility is always latent.
I do not know if I ever stop playing, in fact, I do it sporadically when other activities take up a lot of time.

I already dissapointed in online poker. For example, time after time i have the same situations, like i loose cause of soft everytime after i made a cashout from the room. I can,t believe in such things and that,s looking unfair for me. So for sure i thought many times about stop to play poker, because right now i feel, like it,s more harder to get any value from poker , like it was just a few years ago.

No, I don't want to stop playing poker. It is better to learn how to properly dispose of free time.

I think about stopping and taking breaks, I take short breaks but even through breaks I will play the odd freeroll just to see if I can get back into it, its not that I hate the game its just gets tedious after years of the same.

I play poker for fun if I have a good streak I stop playing a lot, as far as I know I spend a lot of money until I finish and I don't control myself, I got to have a good bank but I lost a good part a couple of weeks ago so I think it's been 4 or 5 weeks, I only played freerolls but when I played cash I realized that it is very addictive and much more risky if you do not study, I think that in cash I would not stop playing if I have a good bank hahaha

I already have stopped playing online poker a few years ago when I decided that I had to dedicated more time to my college and came back to play a couple of months ago, specially when the COVID started.

I have left poker for a while, but it is impossible to do it forever, when you go to a casino it calls you. I don't think I'll ever quit poker, it's an addiction and passion:D

I agree, the thought crosses my mind during every big downswing. But usually I just take a week or two break and come back. I just love the game too much :)

Not just I thought as I did.

Just come back today!!!

The question is, the playing of poker is doing good to you health. If is not you should get some rest and come back latter. It was what I did. And guess what, I back baby :)

Relaxing after a tournament is essential because the abstraction of each round played can be exhausting
