Just try to practice and play more the more you play and bluff the more normal it will feel

I don't feel anxiety all the time, only if I feel somebody is on a draw that can crack my aces. I try to focus on the game, on the other person, pick up tells and not focus on my own feelings. I don't have any anxiety if I'm not in the hand, I just follow the game. Some hands are very interesting to watch even if you're not in the game.

Find ways to build your mental toughness. Also, a break is never a bad thing. (assuming you're not giving up your seat)

Think smart

I’m not letting my emotions take over even if I’ve got two aces in my hand I try to read all the cards, doesn’t matter if it’s past the flop or the river! You’ve gotta know when to fold and don’t think about losing.

Regardless of you are playing online or offline, a little dose of music will definitely get you into the right mood and turn your nervousness into enthusiasm. Play the “right music” means tracks which can make you relaxed and help you deal with the pressure in the game: Classical or jazz. Stop listening music if you find it distracting or hampering your game.
If the bad beats and downswings in the game are putting a negative effect on your mental state, take a break for some time from the game and do your favorite activity like reading a book, watch a movie, cooking, etc. Never vent your anger and frustration of losing a pot on your opponents, dealer, friends, or social media. Give yourself time to calm down and regain your composure. It is crucial to play only with a positive mindset to play with your full potential and reduce the chances of going on tilt.

when I was a student it would often be a case of id buy in low and not rebuy and hope to cash....that lead to a lot of anxiety about ROI

I guess the best way to avoid it is to minimize it aat source....examine the why you play and if needing to cash is to high on the list then you neeed to examine the rational

To be able to finish with a bad streak is required to try to figure out what the problem is. Once the analysis, if you conclude that your bad streak was simply due to bad luck, should be easy to overcome. In theory, you just have to continue playing and, if you are better than your opponents, you'll end up to overcome it and win back. The problem arises if you realize that you played wrong. In this case, it is essential to specify which have failed at the table.

Maybe you're not being aggressive enough, or what you're being in excess. Can occur, simply, you are playing in difficult games in which there is no margin of victory. Whatever the problem, you can only solve it when you discover.

Lose in poker can be very frustrating and, if you respond as well, you can take a tremendous tilt at the tables. This occurs when the disappointment or anger lead you to play badly. The tilt can appear in different ways. Some examples: ECHARSE BLUFFING too much in a desperate attempt to get back the chips losses, not to retire before the flop, use the chat in an abusive manner and take a player like aim to try to avenge alleged "affronts".None of these movements will be beneficial to your pile of chips or your bankroll.

It is essential that you try to keep calm and keep taking rational decisions at the poker table. If you do, you will find it very difficult to win and most likely your bad streak do not stop increasing. The ability to maintain calm will improve naturally as you earn experience by playing poker, but you can put on your part analyzing everything in a comprehensive and recalling that, while a game strategy deployments, that the winning streak to end there is only a matter of time.

Hi gocho2009! The difficult question, when in the Game going is not very good,
especially, when this continues a long time... And main, what can do, that to change
this situation in more short time?! I'm personally by possibility starting to play
more low limits and the short sessions, that to catch my wave again, and that to save
a concentration and nervous system are better!

My opinion

I don't work out the anxiety very good. I get to that point and wonder is this freeroll or two dollar tourny worth it. Instead I just sit out and see what the GOD$ give me. Go have a smoke. Maybe a drink. It really isn't worth finding out for just a couple hundred.

I do not feel anxious at all. When I am in a period with bad hands and folding a lot, I just try to pay attention to what other players do.

In the beginning I would get emotional. Now, I try to figure out the odds whether I am in the hand or not, if I am in the hand and I feel like I am ahead I will stay in the hand. If however I feel I am behind, I will fold. I am not right one way or the other all of the time of course.
even though this is for money, sometimes not, I will also play with play chips. It is just like any other card game or game of skill and chance. Even chutes and ladders could give you anxiety if you let it. lol
Growing up we would always play some kind of card game, usually not for money. Stakes are still high though, you don't want to make a stupid move and get laughed at.

Good idea. Also, sitting for too long is not healthy That way you work on your stamina.

What helps me the most is watching a twitch replay of a winning player's tournament where they are either deep itm or final table. When I see someone playing solid and minimizing mistakes, it helps me to keep my own game in check.

When I get too anxious or bored, I tend to play very weak - the "lets see the flop" attitude, and slowly chip away.

Anxiety= putting less into it..

You may be a serious, grinder, hate to lose poker player, but that doesn't mean you have to be anxious all of the time.
If you tried putting a little less into it, less serious, intense, you may enjoy playing from that viewpoint, start to lose the anxiousness.

Seriously, I hate to lose, kick myself when I make the dumb move; we all do.

Good luck on the anxiety, your opponents are just as nervous about their cards as you are.

Poker is a very complex game in which both psychological aspects and mathematics are closely intertwined. After all, without knowledge of mathematics, we will not be able to make positive decisions at a distance, and therefore we will constantly lose our money. And knowledge of the psychology of poker is necessary in order to better understand what the players who play against us are thinking. In addition, psychology in poker is also important in order to learn how to cope with the excitement and tilt. After all, none of us is perfect, and after another unsuccessful draw, everyone can “break” and do stupid things. And poker does not forgive nonsense, and so in this article we will try to tell You about what is the psychology of playing poker, and how to properly deal with their negative emotions during the game. First of all, remember that no one owes anyone anything in poker. No one should lose money to You, even If you have two aces on your hands and another ACE on the flop. No one has to fold their cards on Your raise just because You want to. This is the peculiarity of the psychology of poker players – they have the right to do what they want.
