I know that I must stay away from alcohol when I play poker because then I can become really losted because I am losing concetration when I drink a lot and I go to bathroom to pie each single second so I can miss really good hands.

it is very clear that drinking alcohol when you are playing poker will always be a bad idea, you will lose the concentration of your game and you will make many mistakes, that is why we must take this into account, poker is a sport so it demands a lot of discipline if you want to go far.

When first getting into poker an article changed my thinking about playing. Was basically about not even sitting down to play when you had a negative mindset. It included some thoughts on drinking and playing. It was something that really resonated with me, to this day it something I adhere too.

When I drink, it is never when playing poker, more enjoyable activities are going on when lifting up a pint. When sitting at the tables, its with a clear positive outlook and absolutely without out alcohol. That works best for me with and the results.

If you drink a couple of 0.5 beers - the dose at which you either want to sleep or drink further (depending on the condition). Accordingly, there will definitely be no benefit in poker. Well, if you drank more then everything is clear.

Nothing wrong with a "socislable" but when you have so many that the room starts to spin it is time to put down the cards. It will take a while for the alky to wear off.

Anywhere discipline, focus and calculations are needed, alcohol is a bad idea. So obviously bad for poker too.

It depends on who/why I'm playing. If I'm playing properly (as in I'm playing online against potential strangers and I'm playing for a win) then I'll stick to avoiding alcohol.

However, if I'm playing with friends, then the aim of the game is not winning, its socialising and (more so than when playing properly) having fun. With this in mind, I'll drink (as does everyone else) and enjoy the game and hopefully still win (although less bothered about losing in these games).

As a poker player I do not recommend drinking alcohol while playing. I would say that the best option would be a water or a soda without sugar. My advice is to always be as lucid as possible to play the best poker possible.

Alcohol does not effect me too because I don’t drink alcohol while I’m playing as I said before a bottle of cold beer in the summer time or a glass of wine in the winter why not but start drinking and get drunk is worst

no matter what anyone says, alcohol definitely negatively affects the game as a whole, as you become more liberated, which in turn leads to a large number of thoughtless, and often completely stupid decisions.
