Hey. Good question. But I don’t know the answer to it because for now I’m only win. But I think somewhere if I lose $ 50 at a time, I’ll understand that poker is not for me

how much does a businessman need to lose to understand that normal income is normal and not the wealth over others? its not about how much money you need to lose even. if you lost repeatedly such sum, it is a sign of failed learning curve.

Hopefully not more than you can afford to, that's the crux of the matter.

I would probably say that (as long as one doesn't have a problem) having lost money doesn't necessarily mean 'poker isn't for you'.

It might mean that one needs to play lower stakes (or freerolls) for a while and work on one's game.

It definitely means one must pay careful attention to how much has been/is lost and ensure that it is dispensable/manageable.

Hope this helps as a reference point!

Poker is not always about profit for everyone, for some, it's about entertainment.

this is a game and the loss of money is inevitable, for some people poker is not the main source of income — they don’t care about the loss of money — the process is important! It’s the same as asking — how much do you need to win to stop playing !?

Poker can be enjoyable for those who lose. The question is how much you spend on it and how much you can easily play. Of course, winning is the best, but if you don’t step out of your comfort zone, you can still feel good.

At one point of my career, I was running 150 buy-ins under EV, but I am surely happy I did not quit then.

So the most important realization here might be not how much you need to lose, but how well do you understand variance?

If you know what to expect and keep working on your game, you will be fine!

I think that even if you lose much, you can win big anyway. With that I mean, that even the most unlucky player can win a tournament . There is no good starting hands in poker , there is just good flops.

hi.this is a stupid question, if it concerns me specifically.I believe that you can learn everything, you just need time and perseverance.so giving up poker should not be measured by money, but by a person's ability.)

Thanks to everyone for the advices. Thanks yours answers, I realized that without losing there is no gain.
On tips, I am now watching lessons and playing freerolls.
I began to play for the sake of the game, not money.
