The downside to playing when drunk is you will most likely be playing against other drunk players. Not an ideal situation to be in.

I think it's a bad idea to play poker drunk. Of course, if you are serious about poker.

I did one night at the Venetian. Actually did ok. My play was much looser than normal, but caught a few good hands and it worked out. I wouldn't recommend doing it...

I always like to have a beer with my water while playing or something else to sip on but nothing to repeat until I am drunk. Having a little buzz in my opinion, takes the edge off and remembers that this is also fun yet not drunk to where I don't care and passively call all in. I think it is safe to say that getting drunk and gambling don't mix well together for most of us.

As soon as I play drunk, my box office immediately becomes empty. And my younger brother also. Viche someone wrote that in freerolls, he is probably right, you have nothing to lose.:):):)

If I drink, it will be bankroll 0 in the morning. This was often the case. That's why I never play poker again if I've had a drink

I played more than once, it did not give me good results, as a result, my head hurts in the morning and the balance is 0. My personal experience is not to sit down and play on a drunken head. I do not advise anyone to do anything good with this will not work.

Several times was that played drunk in poker, of them once reached the final table and took 3rd place, I think that I was very lucky. When drunk, I play more loose and aggressive, a lot of extra moves, a lot of unreasonably large bets and raises.
In general, do not play drunk poker, or rather do not play drunk for money.
Better yet, don't drink at all.

Having a drink is OK but not drunk I played once drunk and played 3 tourneys was out of them within the first hour played far too loose and aggressively. To play your best you need to be focused

Yes I have done that, and usually with pretty bad results. However as others have said, I dont really consider a few glasses of wine or a similar amount of other alcohol as being "drunk". But if you start to get to intoxicated to legally drive a car, it is pretty dumb to think, this will not influence your performance at a poker table. So either stop playing, or move down to significantly lower stakes, than what you normally play. Or even better play freerolls.

In a real serious tournament or cash game there is no way i'm drinking, now i've played in less serious games and played pretty blasted and won, play in weekly game with buddies and we get pretty lit up and over all i've won more than i've lost but if you asked any of them they would likely say the same thing,no one really remembers:cool:

Alcohol impairs judgement it is highly recommended to not play drunk.

Hyper Turbos are fun when a little buzzed.

I do not recommend anyone to play poker for money when he is drunk because alcohol does not go well with the wallet

I think I've only walked away from a drunk session up one time (I'd estimate a sample size of 3-4 drunk games I've ever played fwiw). They were all extremely high variance games where I might have been up several buy ins before totally crashing and burning at the end. I do not recommend it but you want to be at those drinking tables if you can prevent getting wasted without question since they are guaranteed action.
