If you won a ME WSOP seat -- would you play or cash out?

So, I recently read where someone won a seat to the 2010 wsop ME & opted to take the monies instead (not a NLH player & sees it as a +EV decision) which got me to thinking >>> if this happened to/for you...what would you do -- play or take the monie$? Why?

For me, I haven't decided yet...

I would definitely go, since I'm springing for my own buy-in this year, anyway.

I would sell some of my action, though, since it probably takes like $1 million to be properly rolled for a $10k tournament.

i would definitely cash it in, that 10kUSD is pretty sweet. turboboost your bankroll for the next level or for smaller buy in events in your region. for me, aussie millions.

I'd probably cash out, but would seriously consider playing if it worked out. It would be a once in a lifetime experience. Still, 10 Gs....

If I won the seat in a satty.... for sure I'd play it (I don't think I'd be playing the satty for it in the first place if I didn't have intentions of playing it).

Cash out give me online poker bankroll a boost. I'm just not a good tournament player and there's so much luck involved.

I most definatly would play, i know its a long shot to win it but like everything else you can't win it unless you play it.

Well, I think it would be Ev- to play in that one for sure.
I would try to win 3 packages, then use one, and take the money for the other two.

Couldn't justify playing it if I won it. Too many other things I could do with the money. Like that cruise my wife has been bugging me about. Or a new bike.

Unless I'd won enough recently that it was within my bankroll. Then sure.

But that doesn't seem very plausible.

I'd play. Once in a lifetime to get in for free. Unless I was in complete debt and absolutely NEEDED the $, I'd play. You only live once!
