Depends on what you get. On Full Tilt from what I read, if you take the money, you get 10K in tournament dollars. That would suck for me!!!

I'm pretty sure I would play in the wsop, I mean it's the WSOP ME!!! If Darvin Moon can finish second, anyone can!!!

Take the money. It's a long shot, but I know I would need the the 10K more than risking it all.

Yep, def cash out. It would be sweet to play, but even sweeter to have the cash available to play more online without worry.

I would cash out then play one or 2 smaller events, $3000 H.O.R.S.E. for sure and maybe a $1500 H.O.R.S.E. or omaha hi lo, then use $1000 to $2000 for traveling expenses, and save $4000 to $6000 for bankroll online!:)

i'd have to cash out cos im not yet 21, but if i was old enough i'd go to vegas, not just for the ME, but the all round experience.

I wouldn't try and win a seat and then cash out. I'd go just to be able to say I played in the main event. Then afterwards I'd whine about how useful the $10k would have been.

I would take the cash and buy into the WSOP event #11 for $1500. And buy into event #16. These are 3 day events, give a great opportunity to play in the WSOP and depending on my results, I may still buy into the ME.

Satteliting in would be the only way I'd be able to play in the ME, so it'd be a great experience if I could do it on the cheap. ($1 satty?? )
HOWEVER... If I won the $12,000 package this year, I'd probably have to cash it out. Wedding to pay for, deposit for a new house, etc etc etc!
If I could sell $2k of myself, then maybe. But £8,000 in the bank would go a long way!

I'd cash out and reinvest into my bankroll even if it were in Tournament Dollars. TPC - Where did you read this from Full Tilt? I looked but couldn't find. Do you have a link?

i might play it if i was older and had a more stable income. But for now, 10k is way too much to spend on a poker tourney(even if it is the ME)

If I won a seat into the Main event I would go there and play that thing! I really don't see how you could not play it.

This would be a once in a lifetime experience! Most people would have to travel there so it is more than just going there and playing. It is the trip of a lifetime!

wellllll......

Here is the dealio for me....
1) work

2) Am already planning for 2112 WSOP, but I had not planned on playing in the ME

3) Cant just go play in the WSOP and NOT do anything else, and that equates to more $$$, not good time right now with trying to buy house in 6 months

I would cash in the seat and attempt to parlay it on Full DONK though.

Lets play some time mates.....

I can't even imagine not playing if I won a free trip. Yeah having the money would be nice, but getting to play in the WSOP for free? Come on, that's just awesome. I would HAVE to take the ticket and play.

Not unless you're real good at winning satellites for the ME and you don't have an extra $10k laying around, I would definitely play. This would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I'd prefer natsgrampy's way.. for my taste there's too much luck involved in the Main Event but some smaller ws tourneys, why not? I'm absolutely sure the money can be used in other events with much more EV.

Cash out and play 5x$2000 buy-ins or 4x$1500+2x$2000 = more enjoyment imo and possibly enough winnings to play the ME (if i run like jamie gold or something, lol)

As I said, I would play. But do I really know what I would do?^^^^ ^This makes sense to me too, as a couple of other answers do. I seem to feel this question is like "what would you do if you won the lottery?" Any answer is based on not REALLY knowing what it would be like. When it happens, then I will make my decision:party:....

Having said that, who doesn't love to dream the dream tho....:D

And I would definitely play something, but man... the ME!!!!!! Hope I am faced with this dilemma someday
