Solid take: making consistent income online isn’t impossible, but it’s way tougher now unless you put in serious volume and table selection. I treat online mostly as a training ground and a side hustle. The real edge these days feels more live, where reads and patience pay off big.

You can make money occasionally, what a poker player should aim for is to be profitable in the long run, that's the difficult part and it has to be the goal.

If you want to earn extra income playing poker, you can do so provided you have enough free time. Time is money, and you can earn money playing poker, but I think that if you got a job and worked at least 5-6 hours a day, your income from work would be significantly higher than from poker.

Income from work is something safe and predetermined, but you see, some people prefer to spend those hours at the poker table, many people think they can fake it but not everyone succeeds, it takes skills. So I was saying that you are somewhat right, but we should not be harsh or imposing when expressing certain personal points of view (state of mind.and context) We don't want to start inappropriate discussions. So, good luck and success to those who are working hard at the tables, and may God give them health and strength to work for others!

Yes definetely, if you try hard and study a lot is possible to win a motherload of money, if you join a pro poker team you can probably win more money than you imagine if you dedicate yourself
God bless

Yes. I already won about U$ 3.500 playing a few hours a week. And sometimes I don't play a entire month. And Cardschat helped a lot with that. ;)

Poker is a competitive game, and to be successful and generate consistent earnings, you need to develop a solid strategy, study the game, and manage your bankroll carefully. So, yes, it is possible to earn extra income playing poker, but it's not easy and requires skill, dedication, and a good dose of discipline.

At least online, at low stakes I haven't been able to win consistently ( at 1-2 cents), so I just play for fun. Even live poker, I find the players are getting better and better and it's getting more and more difficult to be profitable. Same thing, I play for fun, I am definitely nowhere near being profitable every time I play. The people who make a lot of money from poker are the people who build a personal brand, a company, then sell it to a bigger company (like Doug Polk who started with Youtube channels, then build Upswing Poker, and just recently sold it to WPT. He didn't mention anything financial, but it must be a lot of money).

Hello,
For those who want this I recommend studying a lot, and not starting with big stakes and of course if you can have a decent bankroll and get over the "hammers" that will take them:ROFLMAO:

Between my husband and I, we get about 20% of our monthly income just from free tournaments, so yes, it is possible! Good luck!

it's more than possible but it depends what you call extra income and how much time you're willing to trade for it

You need initial capital, without money it will be difficult!
