In other news, this month sucks

Wow, you were running wat? 5k, 6k above all-in EV?

And yeah, it must suck big time to be handled the payback for that good luck all at once. At least the EV line is still moving up, so you must be doing somethings right nevertheless.

Couldn't agree more. In the last three weeks, my bankroll is now just about half of what it was in the middle of December. There's a cashout and some coaching sessions paid for in between, but if I have another bad day, I'm going to have to move down to 100NL to rebuild. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it sucks to have to rethink my idea of taking shots at 400NL in February.

But oh well, such is life.

It's sick dropping 5 buy ins imo, not even talking about the sick stakes.

wow, so there's such a thing as fold equity when you move up to 1000nl?

This morning at 100nl, i got a villain who stacked with Q4o on a 432 flop. I'm preflop raiser, he flats on BTN. On flop I cbet, he raises and I overbet shove then he calls. I had A3 with a flush draw for 17 outs or 60% equity and did hit an A on river, but I was starting to believe fold equity was a myth...

After fish raise the flop, your fold equity tends to be absolutely dick.

All in EV is such a small % of running good anyways - it just happens to be the only thing you can really quantify.

well admittedly i suck at 6max, and don't play at 1knl, but i assume your bluffing but i just really don't understand the reasoning. If villain is triple barreling a flushing straightening river, surely they have either the straight as a minimum for value betting or are bluffing. In which case calling to beat the bluff would be better. I dunno, but the fact villain bet folded getting 3:1 implies that you already had his hand beat. But i suck so it doesnt matter

right but he can bluff villain off the straight if they're remotely decent at all, often flushes too. ridiculously easy fold w/ a straight actually

Actually that's only half an fpp. To my knowledge fractional vpps haven't happened yet, and fractional fpps already happened, they just didn't display them before.

yeah, most of the hands he's betting 3 streets with, he's bet/folding on river given stack sizes. But Chris has giant nuts to go for the bluff there.

As the others have said already, he has to fold his straight (which I think is what he had - KQ) and often even the flush when I shove this river. My AQ is never good and it felt like a great spot to make him fold his hand.

zach: ez to say after the fact, but why not raise the turn donk bet given the strength youre trying to rep on the flop? his bet looks so weak. not only that, but if you call it makes it hard to rep much on the river, because you're like always raising that tiny bet with a 9 or boat to build the pot (and protect your hand if it's 9x). the bulk of what you can rep are Jx hands that bluffed flop and backed into a pair on the turn and are now v-betting river. kind of a small part of your range imo. obviously if a heart comes you can represent the flush but that's still only 20% of the time, and i just can't help but feel like that turn donk bet is rarely a hand so i wanna be raising
