Soooooo, has anyone ever run a boat into quads four times over 3,800 hands? I did it, today. It was awesome.

A close second in terms of awesomeness was some ***** (single-tabling fish) who took 30 seconds to call my nut flush shove with his rivered boat.
After I complained about the slowroll he got real saucy and told me that he'll turn over his hand even slower next time and that he suggests I leave the table to read some books (whatever that means). 5 hands later of course he left the table.

Just played my first session of the year and first at 10NL and thought it went ok and thought I would be up about a buy in. Bit nervy and edgy at the start I felt, kept getting 3bet.

Just looked up after the session -$5.10 wtf !!!! How has that happend, looks like I lost a shit load of $0.10 pots.

Nvm bring on tomorrow!!

So I decided to give it another shot after taking a month off. I'm definitely going to take a different approach now--one where i don't really spend any time "studying", aka spend little time on forums and i'm not even going to bother with stox or any video sites from now on. Just figure it out on my own i guess...but at least that will mean that i won't be spending alot of time thinking about/wasting time on poker and none of it being play related. I don't even think you need that sort of stuff...poker is all about the emotional control and controlling tilt so you can always think clearly and analyse the situation as it is, not how your hyped up heart beat/emotions/*** this guy i'm sick of this, is telling you to do. I've been in holidays for the last few weeks now, and have logged about 20 hours total and spent no time on forums/watching videos and i haven't "felt" like i should be playing, except when i really want to (it is pretty rare i actually feel like playing nowadays). So i think i can do this in moderation, which i had serious doubts about a while ago.

Anyways, no complaints about how January has started, and along with a couple of days at the end of Dec, i've recovered from that -$1200 or so before i took the break (up about $1500 in the last week).

yes from 1-100 that is a 40 buyin downswing and from 100-200 that is a 65 buyin upswing. poker is a funny game.

im trying for 100 donk n gos a day in january.

this is probably going to get difficult when i go back to work soon, but aim for the stars and all that.

then if i've done okay after jan i move to $15s and aim for 50/day, which should be more manageable. if i can manage 12 tabling (i've gone back to 10 tables for now) it's only really 4 short sessions a day.

i was gonna start jan at $15s but i'm glad i didnt now as a 40 buyin downswong there would have left me practically busto and having to reload for the first time in way over a year (apart from bonus stuff) lole.

e: also waiting for stars battle of the planets lb to update because my last 100 set has to put me up near the top of the LB somewhere unless im horribly mistaken.
