even with the button/position raise calling is questionable bc more often than not the SSers will try to get it in on the flop leaving you having to fold and waste 3 big blinds to see the flop

I agree. In this case though, I was 1 of the SSers & it was only my 2nd hand @ the tbl & I wanted to make it known that he/she (the BTN) wasn't going to push me around on my blinds.

OMG I wish I had a bigger roll... just played about three hours of .50/1 limit hold 'em with a guy seeing 85%+ of flops who dropped nearly $100 during that time. He was capping multiple streets with total junk. Now he's moved on to a 15/30 table and is just as spewy! Losing hundreds there. It's nearly killing me not to just plunk down a few hundred in hopes of relieving him of the rest of his stack, but discipline will not allow me to.

Update: he went busto as I was writing this post.

For the last few days I'm kind of breakeven, dropping a lot then having to grind it all back. I think I have quite a number of leaks where I stack too light vs fish then have to spend all this time playing them to get it back .

Yeah, I think I'm going to take a day or two break and then we should definitely do something. I went from +700 to even this month, my EV graph is pretty sick but **** ev graphs.

I have a bluetooth mic for my PS3 I need to figure out if it can work on my computer too.

Yeah ev is total bs, especially in hu.
I mean I basically own every allin flip and dog situation im in since im like 5 milli over EV, but still can run crap from other sorts of luck ..

If you can get your mic sorted you can maybe sweat me in the next 2 days as you don't have to play yourself .

I went to bed at 3 am (lol at that so early) and kept waking up every 10/20/30 minutes it seemed for like 8 hours straight.

Oh well, nothing like being able to throw out EVERY last piece of junk from my last 2 senior years and taking two buy ins off a fish in 15 minutes as a cure.

And you say you werent going to let villain push u around. You should be shoving then. By flatting all the time with hands like these u will flop 2nd best hands and go broke a ton and also totally whiff the flop and ch/f a lot to his cbet.

I don't normally play like this (calling w/ mediocre hands on raises pre-flop). It was only my 2nd hand, I was just letting them know I was there I guess...

I didn't let villain (BB) push me around, I c/r him all-in. When I made that comment though, I was referring to the BTN's pre-flop raise, not the BB.

LOL, you've had dreams about hell? WOW , what does it look like? Besides the fact that the SSers are runnin' around w/ their heads on fire? LOL

On a serious note guys, I posted my hand to show you that I got value out of that hand by re-raising all-in.

In all my past HH's you've all (almost all) have said that I needed to get more value out of my hands. That was the point of me showing that hand.

Your key word = easy. I don't know about you folks, but I'd rather win in an 'easy' fashion than a hard one Why make it harder on ourselves then necessary, right? I've worked hard enough already LOL

The point was that the only reason you got value was because you flopped awesome and it's pretty easy to check-raise when that happens. So sure, you got value, but the question is how many times will you get value when you flat in the blinds like that? Answer: pretty much never. Also, flatting is letting them push you around because you'll be OOP the entire hand. But anyway I'll stop picking on you because I think you get the point.

I know, i was referring to BTNs pre-flop raise too. When playing shortstacked u should almost never be flatting the sb or bb to a steal. I was saying you should have shoved over buttons open preflop. With 30 BBs, flatting out of the blinds to a steal, especially with KTo, is just bad.

lol live poker. Yesterday brought $500 in played some 1/2 kept reloading to max finally had like $60 left so CO raises I jam button with QJs he has AK I suck out to double. Few hands later guy limps I squeeze pretty big with AK flop is Axx 2 diamonds he leads I jam he snaps with A8dd I fade his million outs and double again. Few hands later I forget exact action but basically it's like 5-way postflop I had TT bet flop everyone calls I check-raise turn one guy calls c/r then calls river shove with 64 board was T6xxx. Anyway I'm back up to even now at just over 500 I get 29s limp behind guy pops it to 15 3 callers guy to my left had made a comment when I first limped that I had raised all my other hands and obviously had junk. I told him maybe I was gonna come over the top. He says he'll give me $10 if I do, so I make it 60. 2 callers. I flop top pair with 1 diamond ch/ch to me I bet like 80 fold call. Turn is 6d giving me TP+FD he checks I jam he folds QJo face up. lol live poker.

Then today for god knows why I play the $450 tourney I get a really good table both donks to my right limp-calling all day and a nit on my left so one of the guys on my right limps I isolate everyone folds and he calls. Flop comes 995 with 2 clubs I had 67c. He checks I jam he calls with TT turn=9 and I don't hit my 1-outer and that's that. Think I'm gonna go play some 2/5 now, live poker is just so funny.
