yep. i wouldnt shove though since he's going to have a hand that can't call too often, and some of the times you're beat by something like a crappy 2 pair so shoving just valuetowns yourself more cause he won't always 3bet. id just make it around 4

No no, villain is a spewtard even with big non pairs, so I knew my implied odds were (probably) good

based on his flop and turn play, he looks far from a spewtard, if the river isn't a queen, you probably don't even get his stack in

what if the river was an ace or a king either? Thats like 14 river cards you don't want to see. Also if your going to be calling with the 2's pre, you don't have the implied odds, so your going to have to win the pot without a set some of the time, thats lke impossible if villain is a spewtard

I understand what you're saying, but how do I not have implied odds? He's tight and spewy. (spewy based on recent play, tight on low sample stats)

You don't have enough money behind. You won't hit a set often enough to make up for calling a big fat raise preflop. So you're going to have to bluff catch when he barrels with AK a lot, or blow him off his hand a lot to make up for the lack of set-mining odds. One or the other. And not only is that hard to do against a spewtard, but its flipping impossible from out of position.

Fold preflop if you like money.

I just realised why people on I-poker are shoving 50bb stacks :)

Its the new ratholing rules, the shortstackers are now officially even worse. They cannot leave their tables, so they are playing the same stragegy even when they get a stack :)

If we were deepstacked (200bb let's say) instead of 100bbs deep, would this change at all? Calling a 3x raise OOP with 22 may not be giving us odds, but I wonder if this would be acceptable if we were any deeper. Also, what if we flat and villian made it 4x, would we be getting the implied odds if we think he'd commit his stack with an overpair?
