I had already been on a bit of a downswing, then Rush pounced and magnified it. Now I feel cursed! Running uber mega humongous bad.
Thought I'd give my BR a rest after the beating it took last night at Rush, so I slummed around multi-tabling $5 single table SnG's. Figured I'd crush them at those levels since I do pretty well at MTT SnG's at the higher levels (~25% ITM). The winnings (had there been any) wouldn't make a dent in my losses over the last few days, but would have soothed my ego. Apparently I didn't adjust for the greater number of fish.
Played 7 or 8 SnG's, didn't cash once, bubbled 4 times. The miracle rivers (for the villain) were fast & furious -- I forgot how nobody folds here. Like 55 calls my QQ shove, on a dry board with overcards to his pair, and he rivers a set. I know, I know, I should be glad they make those kind of calls. But dang the last couple of days it seems like I'm the one paying off the fish instead of the other way around. Or maybe I've become the fish...
I would almost certainly have done better buying into a couple of my usual $26 SnG's, and would have spent less to boot. Here I go being results oriented again, but I'm down over $1K for the last month or so and I've never had a swing of more than a few hundred at a time before this.
Sometimes I love poker. Sometimes I want to shoot it in the head, f*** its corpse, and bury it in the neighbor's backyard.
