Advice Required Regarding 50NL Shot 2

I felt 5 BIs doesnt really give me an accurate indication of how I can handle it or any limit tbh so do I.

A) work my way up to a BR where I have a 10BI shot

B) only play like 2/4 tables in the shot as oppossed to 8 so time goes slower and hands fill up slower

Obviously both have pros and cons but which would you guys who have made the transition suggest

just move up with 5, you know your good enough to beat it, so its just a matter of continueing shot taking until you get the 1 that sticks. Just be sure not to over adjust

for those of you that play at Full Tilt...

How many hands would you expect it to take to clear a $600 deposit bonus at $50 NL FR?

If I'm reading the requirements to clear it right... 1 point = 6 cents? Therefore $600 would need 10,000 points...

That's correct, and I will be attempting to clear the bonus in one month playing 25nl. Not sure how many hands it would take but I'm sure it wouldn't take too long if you're a high volume player. :)

I'm doing it at 25nl FR.

Almost exactly $40 cleared with 660 FTP.
So far 3500 hands with $66 rake generated.
I do think the hands/hr at tilt is substantially lower than Stars. Especially if you're used to some fast tables.

thanks!

how many hours/tables was that for you?

I'm up to 15 tables at a time on stars..if the tables are slower on FT that would actually be a good thing as the fast tables are occasionally giving me issues at stars with time outs.

Well it has varied. Because I was first trying 13-16 tabling on tilt too. Just to get in the hands and FTP's and because I thought it would keep my game more basic and less spewy and fancy. But I've also played some 8-6 tables. Probably about half/half .

I have HEM at 8.17 hours played over this hand sample.

Between 40 and 50k hands depending on the action.

yes, and no.

you're not supposed to play 80 to 100k hands at 25nl ever. you're supposed to profit and move up before you get there.

and focusing on volume instead of win rate before you reach at least 100nl is super counter productive, imo. So I don't want to encourage that with prop bets.

Moving up trumps any other consideration. FYI, cash career graphs in bb and in $ below. Not a huge volume, btw (215k hands), but if I had stayed at 25nl all along, i'd be nearly $10k poorer...

Awesome how much rakeback and bonuses helps, Belgo. btw, which rakeback affiliate do you have for FT, and is that where you're playing at these days?

raketherake. I play on FT about 90% of the time. 10% on stars while clearing reload bonuses. Also, I like to keep a feel of both rooms so I don't overadapt to the playing styles at FT. I'll probably try to maintain goldstar status on stars in the future.

Ah yes, that's precisely what I plan on doing. It's pointless really but I really want to achieve/maintain Gold Star on Stars while I make FT my home now. I'm not sure if there really is any benefit from keeping a roll on Stars though, since I only play 25nl 6-max there and that's not a good level for bonus clearing.

Also, RTR is giving me log-in troubles, I just signed up for an account with them and it won't even let me sign in. :( Does it take a while before you can do it or something?

So I was playing around with the rakeback and bonus things in HEM and noticed that when you enter any kind of bonus it doesn't show up in the graph, but the rakeback does. Is entering bonuses in HEM just to keep up with however much you receive?

no, it should show up in the graph. but only in the $ graphs, not in the bb or BB ones.

BTW, it does not really help that much anymore relatively. At 200nl FR, it's only worth about 0.5 to 0.6 BB/100, which is kind of negligible. Rake does go down significantly as you move up in stakes.

It depends on what date you put the bonus. For instance if you added a bonus on Jan 1 2009 and edit the date to only show this month in your graphs, the bonus will not show. Try clicking show all hands.

Just got on a table with a 70/14 donk with a $25 stack, the kinda guy that normally hits everything under the sun to beat me, mwahahahaha this time my cards actually held up and i took his whole stack in two hands!!!

I ran the first hand through the hand replayer on pt3 and i'm flipping with him on the flop but i think he turns up with a much better hand than he'd usually have.

I wouldn't say 0.5-0.6BB/100 is negligible, it's "free" money after all. But that's probably because at this point $200 in rakeback would be a significant percentage of my monthly bottom line.
