I wouldn't say 0.5-0.6BB/100 is negligible, it's "free" money after all. But that's probably because at this point $200 in rakeback would be a significant percentage of my monthly bottom line.

yes, but in poker, you always think relatively to your winrate / bankroll, not in absolute terms. Otherwise you wouldn't dare to shove stacks with a 51% edge.

Disagree. The reason you shove stacks with a 51% edge is that it has a positive expectation, not because it is x big blinds. At 200nl it's an extra ~$20-25/hour. That is not negligible imo.

sure. but what i meant is that if you think about the value of the money you shove in real live, it might tilt you a bit to take that kind of risks.

anyway, let's settle this at the tables. I see you're sitting at all the good 200nl ones tonight. :D

Extra $20-25 an hour? How many hands are you playing an hour, man? :p

lol Belgo you played that hand (QQ vs. KQ) kinda weird. You been watching me play and know you'll hit a set 99% of the time against me in 3-bet pots like everyone else? I mean it worked, 1-outters are always fun.

Sigh back to negative on the month without rakeback, thank god for rakeback.

zach is playing 16 tables, I assume. It's the max on FTP. I get about $12/hour in rakeback playing 8 200nl tables.

I call turn because i don't think you have the K all that often, not because i'm chasing the boat. Also, I kind of suffer from FPS against you... :D

You really think 3betting an UTG raise with KQ is profitable?

Obviously turn you're not folding but you really think calling a 3-bet with QQ oop is profitable?

Are you calculating this by just taking the amount of rake under the Sessions tab in HEM, dividing by number of hours played, and multiplying by .27?

+1. not that i've really played with you at cash zach, but i'd easily call QQ UTG. are you suggesting 4betting would be better? that'd certainly make the hand easier for you...

4-betting QQ OOP vs. a good player with a wide BTN 3-betting range is pretty much horrible.

the only reason it's not completely horrible is that since it's zach it could get into a leveling war and he's capable of 5bet bluffs there. but i pretty much agree, the standard is to call AINEC so i'm not sure what zach is suggesting

kleitches, you can add a custom stat to show your rakeback in any Report section:

http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=44

I let it search everywhere and I don't have a customstats.txt file lole :(
Works now, just created the .txt and pasted the code in it.

On a funky note: 2nl CC is hard even when flopping 100% sets. I'm thinking of bringing my Cbet % down too...

heh fair enough. I was kinda tilted earlier, and that hand just sorta was the last straw, so I quit. I have been experimenting more with 3-betting EP raisers, especially the ones who raise semi-wide in EP, and have had success with it. They do stupid shit like flat QQ and fold if an over comes or if they notice me doing it a lot flat QQ then stack an under flop which is nice when I have KK/AA. Not perfect yet and I think I was doing it way too much near the end because like I said I was kinda tilted but in short yes I think it can be profitable to 3-bet KQ from the button, although I guess I would rather do it with other hands than KQ.

i think you 3bet a little too much, eNTy. 42.9% is really borderline excessive, imo. :D

btw, here's the hand zach is talking about. It is weird enough. I'm hero, he's BTN.

And now i realize i was MP1, not UTG. Which makes me like zach's 3bet a lot more, tbh.

Full Tilt, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 9 Players
Hand History Converter by Stoxpoker

UTG+1: $266.30 (133.2 bb)
UTG+2: $206.15 (103.1 bb)
Hero (MP1): $302.25 (151.1 bb)
MP2: $429.85 (214.9 bb)
MP3: $203 (101.5 bb)
CO: $566.90 (283.5 bb)
BTN: $300.25 (150.1 bb)
SB: $378.95 (189.5 bb)
BB: $443.65 (221.8 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is MP1 with Q

UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls $2, Hero raises to $9, 3 folds, BTN raises to $25, 3 folds, Hero calls $16

Oh yeah I remember it was because you were iso raising so I figured your range is wider than usual from that position. Plus we were deep.

You think he'll bet at the river often enough to make ch/raising there better than just betting and letting him call/shove?
