I don't know. I hear 25nl is juicier at tilt then it is at stars. Plus deep tables. Is 25nl with 27% rakeback better than 25nl with Goldstar though ?

If you do make the move to FT, make sure you sign up at http://www.trulyfreepokertraining.com/ . You'll easily earn enough points to get free Stox / Cardrunners each month. It cost you nothing (not even an MGR hit).

Easily might be overstating it. to get both stox and CR free, you need to earn 7000 ftp points per month. It's easy at 100nl+, but at 25nl, that's quite a lot.

I kind of meant easy to get Stox or Cardrunners. eNTy puts in pretty heavy volume though so both may not be out of his grasp.

I don't really know much about the ftp system. How are the points calculated, what can you do with them. What is this iron man shizzle and what are the benefits ?

I've heard something about medals ? I want a medal.

Points are completely useless and shouldn't even be considered when looking at the benefits. I've been playing there a few months and have raked close to if not over 10k, and I finally have enough points to buy an ipod. On top of that, when you buy something with points it deducts from your mgr so you get less rakeback. Just compare fpps to the 27% rakeback (or use 28%, that's probably about right if you include ftp points and ironman).

points are kind of useless, yes, but ironman can be decent value for someone who plays regularly but not huge volumes. To me, it's worth about $150 per month (300 medals = $50 + mid-year bonus = $100). Last month I raked about $1000, that means ironman was worth 15% extra rakeback for 42% total.

Really? At iron I'm getting 100 medals/month which is the equivalent of $20/month. Sure the days I get more than 200 points I get a few extra medals here and there and I don't know anything about the mid-year bonus (is it just $100 mid-yea or is $100/month for that?)

Its per month. They do it in June and December.

watching the wsop 2007 ME final table again tells me 4 things about poker.

1. Running hotter than the sun is better than being good
2. You should open raise to >10xbb if you have a pp because you will flop a set
3. Hilm spewed his stack almost as well as i did in the scoop yesterday
4. Praying to God before each card in an all in will help you run like Jesus, doing it from the rail does not work as well

Hiya, have a couple of questions from ppl playing on "different sites" (ipokers, chuck plays prima?, zach plays UB?) How active are the HU tables there from nl200-nl1k? How good are the players at nl200+? I've decided that i am not going to play higher than nl1k, and will focus on playing 2 sites, anything from nl400-nl1k HU...so i need one more site to play. My default is pokerstars, but i won't get any rakeback there and the games aren't exactly poor compared to other sites. FT is a no-go since i can't get rakeback there and i hate them so much now i wouldn't even take it if given. One other thing to consider is that ipoker/prima, etc have higher rake for HU i think, so the games would have to be fairly weak to justify going there instead of pokerstars since 0 rakeback @ 50c rake = 50% rakeback @ $1 rake in midstakes.

Anybody?

That's because you're a noob. :D

It gets better as time goes by.

I don't know anything about the mid-year bonus (is it just $100 mid-yea or is $100/month for that?)

it's a $600 bonus if you got iron level for 6 months. $100/month. The only trick is that there's no guarantee that it happens. It's always happened before, but they don't commit to the fact it continues.

You taking switch out on a date, Jag ? :\

Conversion rate on FTP raaaaaaaped me. Withdrew $605 from PS, there was 10 euros still in my neteller that should be around $615 or maybe more according to google conversion rate. I finally managed to deposit $592 on FTP :x.

Oh well At least I got rakeback + $592 bonus (I assume it's gonna hit my MGR so less or no rakeback) and the free $25 for take 2.

And sorry feitr, I don't know.

Generally there are only like 5-10 HU tables running on prima, most of which are around the 50nl-200nl range. I have a feeling the 400nl+ players are actually good, whereas the 100nl regs are just laughable. Like stack A6o first hand, then 5bet jam Q7s after you've opened the button a few times, and run after losing.
