The big problem is when we play against each other. Great chances to sleep on the couch. LOL.

I wouldn 't let the situation to come to this delima. I think with good organization of all of the activities, the solutions can be more easy. Wifes have hobbies too, and with the right measure things can work for both!

Family is more important than poker.
It´s for almost all people excepto for some pro players.

Almost everyone answered that it is necessary to choose a family, because it is obvious. In the end, if there is a question of choice: poker or a wife, then the problem is not poker. Agree, if a person plays at a tournament in the evening, then this most likely will not lead to such a question. Therefore, we can only talk about addiction, in which a dependent person already puts the game above family values. Family is work, hard work is the work of two - husband and wife. If a wife puts her husband before a choice, then, most likely, he neglects his duties to such an extent that it came to the issue of divorce. And the main question here is not the choice between poker and his wife, but why has it come to the point that he needs to choose? And when he understands what the real problem is, then he may not have to choose.

LOL

It's probably not wise to go all-in in both situation. 😂 Unless, you have 100% the best hand.

I would choose both as one is family and second is work.

I am married and do enjoy playing my poker games. They allow me to have fun whether I win or lose. It is enjoyable regardless. Playing helps to allow me to do some fun things.

No. If my wife loves me, despite all my shortcomings and flaws, she ought to support me. And the other way around. Otherwise this marriage will turn into a prison confinement.

Poker is a hobby for me, the main thing in life is a family that can help you in difficult times.:)

Good question. I "lost" my husband - at the time just playing freerolls, playing poker without a deposit. Then during the divorce it turned out that there had been three of us in the team for years...

I will openly admit I am addicted to poker, but saying that I can also prove that I have never lost a single penny playing on-line, why? Because I have never made a deposit.
All my bankrolls have started from free-rolls and I have made a few over the years, my current Pokerstars Account is at over $600.00 Dollars and I have still never made a deposit.
Poker is just a game I enjoy playing, and I firmly believe that you can not "Get Rich Quick" by gambling with anything especially your Marriage or Family, They will always come first.
I have on some occasions won seats in a bigger game through playing a Free-roll and Qualifying for bigger Prize pools, but if something came up where I couldn't play in the bigger game, it doesn't bother me because it has not cost me anything to begin with.
As "Monty Python" said in their song, "Always Look on The Bright Side of Life" You came into this World with Nothing, and you sure cannot take it with you when you Die! So what have I lost? NOTHING!

When the fun Stops, STOP!

I would play more if I was still married to either of my first two wives. Now my current wife introduced me to the game and plays it better than me so that is no problem.

In my humble opinion, any kind of addiction is bad, especially when it starts to affect my family. I would never trade my wife for gambling.

I think there has to be a middle ground, the wife has to accept the husband's desire to play and the husband has to support the wife, otherwise it's better for each one to live his life.
