Yeppers. Couldn't win if I had two pair or better. Only flush draw I got paired the board when I had Ac9c on 5dJc4c 8h 5c board. Of course the guy had 85.

How are Stars' 10max tables?

Recovered about $55 today just two tabling some 1/2

A lot of it due to this beauty:

very nice jay, can't even remember the last time i had a 6 buyin day

not sure why i even bother with donkaments! spent like 5 hours today to get 200th place in a 9k entrant tourney. cash games are so superior, but then again one day soon one of us is going to get a monster tournament score and then it'll be awesome

Blah, that did not go as planned.

Ended up down -20BB

Seemed like for every time I won with JJ-AA I lost with it twice.

I was down 40BB but just in the last hour decided to play some 1/2 six max and a table of 2/4 10 max. Went well for sure.

Haven't played much 6 max before but I think tomorrow I might grind that for a day and see how it goes. I like the aggression factor and knowing that my A-10 is probably good on an Ace high board.

Ugh, my graph has been a roller coaster this month.

Once again, started out tonight on a major cooler, 5-tabling 50NL Deep on FT. It seemed no matter what I had, somebody had bigger. Lost 2 BI's (well, 1 deep BI) on two hands alone, within 15 mins, one nut flush < full house, the other KKK < str8.

Almost threw in the towel but took a deep breath and worked my way back up from -$120 to -$7 for the session. I'll take that.

Part of my problem (I think) is I'm forcing myself to play when I'm not feeling up to it, just to make Ironman for the month. I set that as my goal for this month, and I'm almost there, but not sure I'll try again after this month. I'll at least get Silver this month, if not Gold, but I don't think it's worth it unless I cash big in the freeroll. I miss playing MTT/SnG which is where I've made the most money, but they don't pay enough points for me to get Ironman.

I also had a 3.3 gpa in high school, I'm currently in my freshman year of college, must be a common thing for degenerate gamblers =)

Yup, only getting FPP's for the time being. I have accounts at FT and UB but deposited before I knew about rb, so I don't play those sites except to blow off steam during downswings at PS. Haven't done the math to compare to rb, but I'm getting pretty good (I think) bonuses from FPP's (supernova), around $1300/mo (75-85k hands a month).

Long term, though, I'm looking to get away from volume - I want to develop a game w a sustainable winrate at 100nl/200nl at around 25-40k hands/mo. My 100nl game, though, is still superswingy - hence the screenshot - if I could only translate my 50nl game appropriately... sigh... :p

Yeah, loldonkaments are just hilarious when you think about it. And the prize structure on Stars now is terrabad. I mean if you just make it barely in the money, then your lucky to get a little bit more than your stake back. Then if you get past like another 300 players your still lucky if you double your stake .

Yeah a monster win would be awesome though ;).

You still playing 200nl?

Decent night at the cash table.... Local club had a .25/.50 cash game going, instead of regular 1/2. Left with a small profit, not much, but at least it was in the positive!

Two best hands of the night were KK and AA.... I had KK in the big blind, raised to $2 and had one caller. He played all the way until the river card where he was chasing. Won a decent pot, somewhere around $25.

I get AA in late position, it has already been raised to $2.50, so I raise another 5 and get four callers... I'm thinking to my self that this isn't good, AA isn't holding up against 4 other people. Flop comes 10c 8s 2s. A bet is placed with three others calling, it gets to me and I re-raise and get one caller, everybody else folded. Turn comes a 5h, I go all in with my last 15, get called with QQ, river is a J and I win a nice decent pot over $75

Ive been wondering... Why dont poker sites use advertising to cut their rake charges? Say they had a small advertisement on every table but charged half the rake of all other sites... This would encourage more people to play there right? or is there something I am missing here?

It's certainly an interesting idea. If you are missing something, it is how incredibly humongous the rake ends up being. Advertising might not offset enough to be realistic. I dunno.

November is going to own :)

I have decided to cash out of Paddy Power seems as that their vip programme is based on the last 3 months of play, and their "forthcoming" reload bouns hasnt materialised in the last 6 months there.

Got a few K to deposit now, and looking for options. Any suggestions, and I really don't want to go back to stars.
