I can't play the video from where I'm at, but if this is the Poker After Dark video, that "nobody" is an Internet player who was playing very tight up that point. I don't think he wanted to make any mistakes for the cameras.

I think the kid was only aggressive twice up to this point. Once was when he had K/T for a flopped Broadway (when the flop paired Hellmuth's A and J).

I don't think it was a bad play on Hellmuth's part. It goes right along with his "let them push me, then punish them" strategy.

In this series, Hellmuth gets HU with Gavin, then runs into cold decks and bad beats to lose. (I noticed that his luck improved when Matusow showed back up, but went away as soon as Matusow left)

Phil Hellmuth is the best(not my favorite) Holdem player at the moment. Yes, he usually plays tournaments. If he has seen Featherstone raise only twice in the whole game then you have to give him credit and Phil really thought he had kings or aces. Phil usually makes the right moves/decisions, but one wrong doest make him bad or stupid player.

Phill Helmuth whines way too much about other people's play. He keeps on telling others how great he is and how bad they are. He's so cocky that I loose all my respect for him even though he won all those tournaments. He always has an excuse when he looses

This is so wrong. He's not even the best tournament player, actually.

I don't think it was really that bad of a fold.

He put the kid on a top hand because he had not been playing any hands.

The raise was 1800, Phil was the short stack with about 9,000 he said. He knows he can't call. If he calls, the rest goes in on the flop no matter what. He thinks hes beat already and would rather save his 1800 for a better spot.

Not really that bad of a fold, just took too long to make a decision.

Actually, it's a pretty bad fold considering his stack size, and it's a winner take all tournament.

first of all of course knowing the cards, everybody is saying what a bad fold, but could also have been a great fold, maybe he a read on the guy feeling that he had the best hand.. there is another example where doyle brunson folds the better flush to Jamie Golds worse flush simply cause Brunson felt that Jamie Gold was thinking he had the best hand...

secondly the blowup in poker after dark is pretty good, but u know sheiky is a badass, he is an expert in clashing with people cause his ego is as big as phils, however he isnt half as good of a player

lol @ not a bad fold. He is short stack, he has the 3rd best hand in poker, he has to outright win the tournament to make any money and he is going to "wait for a better spot?" :S

Phil is just a hoot. The kid makes a standard 3BB raise into Phil who is holding AN ACTUAL HAND. Granted, the kid is projecting a super tight image, but c'mon, 6 handed table and only Sexton left after Phil.

Phil needs to take a long vacation from poker and try and get to a point where he does not out-think himself.

You're right. Phil is "kind of bad at the pokers". Just ask his 11 wsop bracelets and they will tell you the same thing.

even if the kid has aces, its still a bad fold in the long run
