How many people here are addicted to poker? I spend almost half of the day playing poker. It's been really crazy lately. I feel like I can't leave the poker circle anymore.

I love playing poker but I am not addicted Recently I have been some weeks out of my country with no access to PS or 888 and haven't missed poker at all.
Getting addicted is dangerous imo. Try to leave this circle. Good luck.

I play every day, Maybe I'm addicted to poker 🤣but it's what I like to do. I've made many friends from different countries thanks to poker. Poker is what we have in common. I think it's a problem when you lose money, then you should stop playing.
But I have never lost money, on the contrary, I have won money in poker.

If you can't handle it yourself, write to the support team of the sites where you actively play. They know what to do in such cases. Do not treat your problem irresponsibly.

Unlike other antidepressants that are addictive, poker is the safest. In addition, poker helps us to improve our mindset. In other words, I don't see anything bad in playing poker on a regular basis. The main thing is that poker brings us pleasure. ;)

You’re not alone, poker can definitely pull you in deep. The line between passion and addiction gets blurry fast. If it’s affecting your life, mood, or relationships, it’s worth stepping back and reassessing. Loving the game is fine, but balance is key if you want to play long-term.

My friend, addiction is a disease. If you are sick, you need to seek help from specialists.

I play poker because it is a real opportunity for me to earn money. If I can be called addicted to a job that brings me income, then yes, I guess I am :)

Like most things you can become addicted to it, try taking a break for a while and see how you feel.

I don't play because I'm addicted, I play because poker makes me money :)
I play when I have time and feel well enough. I have plenty of time, I'm retired, but unfortunately I don't feel well that often. Nevertheless, I play 5-7 days a week.

It's ok to do something you like as long as it does not have a negative influence in your life. If you enjoy playing poker, then play poker. You spend 8 hours at any other job anyway, so why not spend that time playing poker? If you're loosing, study more, get better and try to get even or make some money, that's all.

It certainly is very addictive and I think it happens without the person even realising it or maybe wanting to admit it. Can be scary stuff.

Addiction, in its most common sense, refers to a persistent and harmful habit that leads to dependence, whether physical or psychological, on substances or behaviors.

If you feel like it's not doing you any good, try to stop or be stronger and try to take a break. If you are stronger, seek specialized help. Play for fun or professionally. The game can be handled in several ways

There's indeed a fine line between addiction and profession. If poker puts food on your table and you can calmly control your time/bankroll - that's work. But when the game starts affecting your sleep, relationships, or mental health - that's a warning sign.

I find it to be an addiction but have managed to side line it a bit for other stuff I would not have done a while ago. If you cannot stop yourself playing it is important to reduce the amount your spending as addictive play is not conducive to winning. If you are only doing freerolls it does not matter except for the time element.

Nowadays I'm definitely not addicted to poker, but when I started to play, I used to play almost everyday. Now, I only play 1 or 2 days per week for a few hours only, but if don't play on these days, I also don't miss it.
The fact that you play poker everyday doesn't make you an addicted, but if poker starts to affects your real life then maybe you should seek for help.
