Poker, Fun or Occupation?

1st become a professional and earn some money.. then to be a ameture player..
 
Of course as a tournament player my dream when it comes to poker is to be properly rolled to grind the wsop events and not only win me a bracelet but win wsop player of the year. Big dreams huh? 🙄

I will not lie , my dream is to be a pro, winning a lot of money , however this every day more difficult . with so many developments both in strategy.
 
I just play for fun. I try to improve as a player, and I want to win, but it also needs to be fun. If it's no longer fun, I'll just stop playing.


That happened to me in the past. Seven years ago, I was making more money playing midstakes FLHE for a couple of hours per day, than I was making at my day job. (Did that make me semi-pro?)
But after a few months of that, the grind got to me, and it stopped being fun. I quit overnight.
Took me seven years to get back (and start from the bottom again).

WHAT you did was right !!! the game has to be fun , if not why not play it.
 
of course to become a pro, I would never play poker to be amateur and to play poker for fun always

Our friend "wc2hell" is right I think the vast majority of us here want to be recognized for being one of the best in this game and enjoy several privileges they have in addition to their huge profits that this implies hehehe. 😀
I want that dream, but we have a long way to go checkered must have perseverance and discipline to achieve our goals ...
Luckily for all ... 😉
 
playing NL10 fullring on pokerstars.
i hope one day i can play on NL100 above and live with it.
 
first of all pleasure! and if the pleasure brings money, then it is even better
 
if you give poker all the time,it becomes work,but it happens that for this work no pay,and you pay yourself🙂)
 
For now I play poker for fun , but I'd like my job , I can not live from it and support my family , not only as so far only do some hard labor , and again the money never enough🙂
 
For me it's just for fun.
i would love to make a living of it, but I'm not good enough for that.

I agree with previous posts. I play for fun, but I dream to make poker. While I understand that I will not enjoy the game then.
