Hey guys
I just wanted to share some thoughts. Lately I’ve been noticing that poker has become more than just a game for me. It feels like a habit now — when I start a tournament in the evening, my mind immediately switches into a different mode. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t, but the whole process is what keeps me hooked.

What about you? Do you see poker as a hobby, a job, or maybe just a way to relax and clear your head? Would love to hear your perspectives

I currently treat it as a hobby, but in the future I would like it to be my main income

Only for entertainment purposes…online, I play with money I win in freerolls…I have gone from zero to over $1000 three times…usually I up the stakes to increase the excitement and play till it’s all gone…then I start over again…when playing live poker, that means I’m usually on vacation, so it’s something to enjoy while my wife goes shopping or to the spa.

Oh definitely a hobby that I am seriously passionate about. I love the competition between my opponents and against myself.

For me it's a hobby, maybe one day it will become my job, but for now I have a lot to learn.

Now? it pays my food, later hope i make it to Pro 🙂

Just a hobby and a way to win a little extra money. Poker once was my favorite hobby, now maybe it's 4 or 5th on the list.

Love to play it like a hobby im a beginner and love yo play small tournaments if I have some time off

Poker is a hobby for me, but it's also a way of life. I wake up with poker, I go to bed with poker. I hope to win the big prize someday.

It's just a hobby. Online I play mostly freerolls. From the posts I read on this forum I think it's mostly recreational players. The professional players are a very small circle and you might not find them here. Also, they might not have a lot of free time to spend it here. That being said, you can still use this site to learn and get better at poker. They have an interesting learning module and you get some VIP chips for completing it. Also you get access to restricted freerolls depending on your level. I find those interesting to play to improve your game. It's mostly people who are genuinely interested in poker and in getting better at poker. You have less of the jamming all in with random 2 cards, compared to the rest of the freerolls available.

Everyone who loves poker would like to be his/her job...If You cant T make a monthly income from poker ...You cant T n-am IT your job...

I would think it's a hobby, when I'm free poker is the card game that I like

A favorite game that brings not only fun, but sometimes money

I think it's a combination of both. I see it as a hobby that occasionally gives me some extra money. There are months when I make more money playing poker than with my regular job.

For now, poker is earning me a very good income, but I also do other things, but if you prepare well and play more, the results will be much better.

Its not my hobby not job i dont know what is it? Its my dream

A hobby you can enjoy for a lifetime!

For me, poker is more of a hobby and a way to spend my free time. I usually watch YouTube while playing, just to keep things casual. Right now, I'm saving up for a new computer, and I'm hoping to win most of it through poker, so that's why I play pretty often in the evenings. Once I get the new setup, I think I’ll play less poker and focus more on modern games with better graphics.

Just a hobby and a way to win a little extra money , i playing more for fun . Good luck at the poker tables . 🙂

Sadly, looks like just gonna stay a hobby, am not winning, a loosing player

...is becoming something bigger, even bigger than my job...

For me, poker is more than just a hobby. It's a mix of competition, strategy, and personal growth. I enjoy the challenge of improving my decisions and staying disciplined-it teaches lessons that also apply in real life

i havent really made money online, had some nice wins but will probably stay a hobby for me unfortunatly.

*edit* although i still have that dream of winning big some day
