For me, poker is not a sport, it's a hobby and a hobby for me, and it's very good when I sometimes get a small profit, but there are people who are very passionate about this game and get good money, but I would not say that poker is a sport!

I will say so. poker is not a sport, but here is poker and sport as two elements together is a good mixture for any player. good mood, good health and discipline of mind and spirit .

I think of poker as "mental gymnastics".

However, I dont think I could ever consider it an actual sport.

In my opinion, poker can be considered a sport.
Given that chess is considered a sport, I see no reason why poker can not be considered a sport.

It can certainly be a test of mental acuity, and as such, one can benefit from physical fitness and a solid nutritional approach to one's diet. It does share this common attribute with sport, in that fatigue can definitely be a factor. That being said, it does not require much by the way of hand-eye coordination, muscle memory conditioning through training--unless you count chip shuffling--nor does it involve the testing your physical skills under pressure. So even while it is great competition, no, I do not consider it a sport.

The border between poker and sports is there, but still they must be interconnected.

Poker is definitely not a sport. It's gambling. A loser gives money (or something else) to a winner, via a game of chance. That’s it.
Yes I know it's also a game of skill as well, but a top player can still lose due to the chance element, to an useless player.

Poker to be called a sport needs to have precedents in history. There are none.
This is a card game that can be called also a board game.
Darts, checkers, aeromodelling (ship-modeling) sports, petanque, fishing, eSports are not a sport for some reason yet also...

Yes maybe, but it will be a stressless sport lol , an other reason why it could be considered as sport is that poker is a mental game , you must use your brain, so yeah maybe in the next coming yeaars
