Yes, I am somewhat winning. In addition to cash games I play a lot of freerolls, so money flows into the bankroll without any money of my own. Overall quite minimum investments, but huge amount of time used makes this profitable for me.

I play mostly freerolls, so, I guess the answer is yes..lol
But when I used to play more seriously, I was break even. So, I decided to play only freerolls and for fun.

Ived lost more of my money than I won. But I am up tho. That's because of freerolls.

Edit: actually I'm pretty sure I've pretty much lost all my deposits. I've made. Only made up for it through freerolls. Which was a freaking grind. To win 5c a month.

Not anymore, I play too many satellites to tourneys that I'm not rolled for so my variance is way higher than when I initially built up my bankroll from $50 to $700. I grinded up with cash games and micro mtts and the occasional rip in bigger tourneys. My biggest win was from a 109 that I satted into from a free ticket I got from a promo. That was awesome.

Most of my losses are from betting on elections though🙃. I'll never place a bet I can't close at market value again. I bet Harris would win when her odds were at 25% and I wanted out desperately when she went past 60% 😅 I would have had an easy 2X if I had just placed my bet on a market and not on PPs sportsbetting sheet.

I haven’t really invested much into poker yet, so for me it’s hard to even judge profitability at this point. I mostly just play small and treat it like a hobby, so anything I win feels like a bonus rather than actual income. From what I’ve seen though, it seems like being profitable really depends on how much time and effort you’re willing to put into studying and improving, not just playing.

20+ year rec/hobby full-ring cash and $4-$5+ longer blind level(10+ min) MTT player and yes I'm profitable. Use to way more profitable during the Moneymaker poker boom and also use to play a lot more then I currently do but for the little I play now days I still turn a profit in 2026.

Yes, but poker has a very humbling way of reminding you that profitability is never permanent if you stop studying or lose discipline.

The moment you think you’ve “solved” the game, the game usually punches back pretty quickly.
